Decided to try coconut oil in my tea this evening, got it out of the fridge and it's like frozen ice cream, had to try to chip away at it with the spoon.

Got about a tablespoon's worth of coconut oil shavings and stirred it into the tea, didn't add any milk or sugar as I assume this is what it's replacing.

When the tea was cool enough to drink, it looked like there were just little blobs of oil all over the surface of the tea, is it supposed to completely dissolve in the tea?

Drinking it is weird because every sip leaves an oily residue on my lips.

I have to say, I'm not liking it so far.

:worry:

You been suckered in too? Have you read all the con-stuff then - never mind all that new-age pap? Were you aware that the Windies islands (where coconuts are part of the staple diet) have the worst record in the world for all the cures the oil is promised to produce? Trust yer initial instincts. It's slimey gunk!

Polynesians have more coconuts than Britain has foodbanks and you never see a skinny Polynesian now do you?
Use it for oiling your bike chain or put it on your hair, never try eating it raw.

Who told you that? I eat it raw every day and I feel healthier than I have in years.
