Football Murphy needs to go now

He'd be interested I'm sure but would be a massive risk from a Celtic perspective as it stands now. Jury's still out on our Barry - he has potential but he's clearly not the Messiah

I doubt there's been a genuine interest with a bookie (who knows though) but could be bookie trying to drive business or agent trying to get his name out there
It does sound like bookies trying to rope in the usual punters and I can see his agent pushing his name

Betting for Middlesbrough manager has BBM at 5-1

We've taken a gamble ourselves by the appointment of BBM and he's showing the potential to become a very good manager but potential is all it is at present, and even many of our Fan base arnt convinced and they know everything.
.Can't see Middlesbrough taking that risk ,and to think Celtic would is even more unlikely. And any way why would he want to jump ship we're the famous Cardiff City we come from Sloper Road .:bluebird:

Christ. I hope not. He'll be with us for a fortnight and then fuck off somewhere else if his boy has a bad day in school or something! 😂
I'd have said injured more than anything.

What happened with the dog is tragic, can understand being upset, but let's be honest, he was crap for Pumas and then got injured.

It's also interesting Pumas haven't said anything about his contract being terminated.

Fuck them gyppo cunts stealing his dog...I don't blame him for leaving and bringing his family home...he don't need their money...be interested to see where he ends up next...doubt it will be here and can't imagine him going abroad again to live just now but he will definitely have options..maybe even the best option is to just not play at all.

I can't imagine he needs the money. I think with him he knows what he's capable of and just hopes he can get a decent run without injury but it doesn't seem like that's happened for ages.

I get the impression playing for Wales is very important to him and club football has become an ends to a means to him. Can't seem playing after the WC next year whatever happens

Well I don't think he'll be playing there at all fit or not as we won't be there. Being around the squads will do him good though. I agree think he'll put the fiddle in the roof then and retire.

Most people didn’t want BBM and were saying ‘he failed at Rochdale he’s not a manager yadayada’

He’s done well so far and a lot of people have warmed to him - hopefully he will continue the project he has started.

I don't see us making it but it's not impossible. I don't think he'll retire until he knows though

Good start, then started tinkering with his starting eleven, bizarrely dropped Wintle who was one of the keys to our good start. Overemphasis on passing it into the net, when Salech is at his best attacking it in the box.

I think BBM's approach works well at youth level - where physicality isn't the key, especially at the top academies.

We've too many square pegs in round circles - poor width from players playing as inside forwards, none of whom are true wingers with the ability to take full backs on and cross; tried Turnbull as 6.

Only around 2% of academy players go on to have a pro career. I wonder if the same could apply to academy coaches and management gigs at senior football level.

I think he's honest enough but my concern is that the fact we've one of the best squads in the division is what is keeping us up there. It's a concern for me that he doesn't seem to know his best starting 11, and hasn't adjusted his tactics to play to Salech's strengths.

Would I get rid? Absolutely not, playing the youngsters should benefit longer term. but 14 games in, just under a third of the season gone, the same issues are cropping up which is a minor concern for me.

Some very fair and valid points there

Im not too sure we have one of the best " squads" tbh, great starting 11 maybe when all fit, but the rest have work to do imho, I do wonder though, are people really expecting us to achieve promotion at a canter? There will undoubtedly be blips along the way, we aint birmingham, who spent big to get out of this division, 10m on stansfield alone.would I like promotion, of course, but to be perfectly honest, if we don't do it immediately, im not going to be devastated like some!!:aya::aya:

Unfortunately even if BBM finds his best starting 11 pound to a penny it will change the next game ,you'd be hard pressed to find any team wether it be in the Premier league down to League two that fields the same eleven those days have long gone .It's managing what's available on the day in the hope they'll perform on the day.

Salech, Robinson up there for best strikers in the div. There's a reason Salech is targeted in games. Best keeper in the div; we're pretty string in all areas except wingers - Tanner out, Nyakuhwa not given run. Canter? No.

That's my take. I like the approach of giving the youngsters a chance but anyone who thinks we have one of the best squads in the division is naive - there's potential there but we can't even cover some positions with specialist players.

Without spending a bit in January I suspect we'll fall short. Lacking consistency and no clear plan how to play when things aren't going out way. However, if we do stay down I think with a few adjustments we could be strong contenders next year as the youngers would be a fair bit more experienced
