Nathan Trott has travelled to Cardiff to complete his loan signing from FC Copenhagen.
The 26-year-old former England youth international was on the bench for the Danish club during their 1-0 win over Drita in their UEFA Champions League qualifier.
Now, Danish outlet Tipsbladet claim he has already said his goodbyes to his team-mates ahead of travelling to the Welsh capital to complete a medical and put pen to paper on a loan deal.
The loan is expected to include an option to buy at the end of the season, contingent upon the Bluebirds earning promotion back up to the Championship next May.
That purchase option for the former West Ham player is said to be worth £1.57m, with Trott currently contracted to the Danish champions until 2028.
The goalkeeping department has had a question mark hanging over it all summer, with Ethan Horvath believed to be open to a move away to further his chances of securing a spot in the US Men's National Team squad for the World Cup in North America next year. Clubs in Europe and in MLS are believed to have Horvath on their radar.
