No longer under embargo?

CCST says it has in writing from EFL that we aren't under embargo. Club says told different.

We're not on the list of Embargoed clubs on EFL site

:sherlock:
Trust claim the response was “not subject to a registration embargo”.

That's not in question, we've not been embargoed from registering players - free agents and loan deals. The question is if we're unbongoed from registering players subject to a fee, permanent or loans.

Rather than querying that with EFL directly, Trust instead go running to the club in a point scoring exercise.

EDIT:

It may well be EFL haven't communicated to the club that an umbongo has been lifted. Who knows, but I've little doubt the intent of the Trust claims are to make the club look dumb.

That's how I read it - we can register players. That means we can definitely sign freebies and loans (i.e. Kaba) but doesn't answer the question of if we can pay a fee. So, they could both be right!

Exactly!

It's the claimed EFL wording that's the issue - why not say "Cardiff are under no embargo", "Cardiff are not under a transfer embargo" or even "Cardiff can register free agents and loans without a fee, but cannot pay a fee for a player, loan or otherwise".

According to the EFL website an embargo is the unattached/no loan fees restriction. It doesn't say clubs can't register anyone at all. We used to be on the site but now we aren't

Sounds more like there's been miscommunication because after all that, I'm still none the wiser as to if we can buy players or not.

You would think that a highly paid CEO of a multi million pound business would actually know if we are under an embargo or not
Defies belief how this club is run..Tan has lost millions and millions of £’s and it’s mainly because he has the wrong people at the very top running the club!!
If he actually employed people to run the club properly he could save himself a fortune

Dalman & Choo have to be the most luckiest pair of individuals in football cos in any other profession they would've been sacked a very long time ago.

EFL, running a multi million pound business should also be able to explicitly answer a question.

The Trust doesn’t need to make the club look dumb, they do that perfectly well themselves.
:hehe:

Seriously though, and I’m aware that you clearly have some kind of chip on your shoulder about the Trust, but what they are doing here is exactly what a Supporters Trust should be doing.

Trust can't demand openness and transparency whilst not publishing the numbers of members they have and more importantly the amount of retained subscriptions.

The Trust email gives very little detail, what is given is aimed more against the club than maybe considering EFL are at fault here.

If it takes action by the Trust to clarify the situation then I would suggest that both the club and the EFL are at fault. I would also expect both organisations to thank the Trust for drawing it to their attention.

No, EFL are absolutely at fault.

Applying embargoes, notifying clubs is entirely on them. Clubs shouldn't have to ring up every day, "Oh, are we still embargoed?"

If the response the EFL gave to the Trust was the correct response they gave, then it's confusing as hell. Even I can't work out if we can buy layers and register them or not. That response isn't down to the club and it's reasonable to expect their communication to the cub to be no better.

Tan. Billionaire ish...very clever. Choo and Dalman what do they actually provide?

Should feck em both off...after a good kicking.

Bastards stealing a living at the City.

Bastards.

I take it you think they are bastards then:hehe::hehe:can we all join in the kicking? I'll wear my boots for that!:hehe:

Like them or not, Tan trusts them.

There's a long list of managers, Moody, that took the piss.

They won't go until Tan goes. Dalman & Choo must be laughing.
