Thanks for confirming
:hehe:
i attended meetings with them back in the day mike they were consumed with bringing industry to wales. they were good at it as well and were advocates of a relief road around the tunnels which i still think is an albatross around our neck in attracting investments and visitors
Worked 3 years recently for a company that were put off for that reason and the dual language costs.

It's inevitable reform will be getting in. Working class being shafted again

The heroin addicts of Trowbridge know the score

Pretty much grew up in Trowbridge in the 90s with my Grandparents looking after us when my Mum and Dad were working.
It wasn't the greatest place then but it's the absolute pits now, can see why the locals are sick of being ignored by Labour.

The same can be said about almost every part of Cardiff.

The place is turning into a dump whilst the council thinks it’s a good idea to spend millions digging up a smelly dock feeder in the city centre.

Labour deserve voting out alone for not building that m4 relief road in Newport

It's a massive missed opportunity and I'm sceptical of some of the environmental claims - the wetlands like a Welsh Amazon be fucked.

Yup, today for me had me cursing Drakeford. 87 mile drive from Wiltshire to Cardiff, should be relatively easy...queuing on the bridge all the way to the tunnels, 3hr drive. M4 around Bristol was just as awful too.

I'd hate to see how much impact on trade/investment in Wales affected by that stupid decision

With Reform winning council elections, they will now get a taste of how hard it is to run public services when the country is skint.

A million words and only one refer to birds, inter alia, that I saw.

That article confirms my memory that it was just Drakeford going what he thought was right rather than following expert advice. I've got a mate who has an environmental masters and used to work for Newport LA who thought the environmental claims for the black route were blown way out of proportion as the vast majority of the land was in a shit state anyhow.

Think it came from Westmonster sadly Steve, when some crackpot thought the Quangos were the source of all the UK's problems.

Bonfire Of The Quangos i think was the tabloid headline

We used to regularly play against the Trowbridge lads in our 23+ unequal a side Saturday matches over the ABC park.

We always came out on top though, and even with the ringer Craig Bellamy in their midsts.

Usually a 10am ko and finished when the lad with the ball got called in for his tea. Usually about 5ish.

Great value entertainment for the neutral bystander, looking back.
