POST MATCH FANS REACTIONS - ASTON VILLA

Regarding yesterday's game I went with my son and 3 grandsons tickets for the North stand ! Would like too know anybody else's opinion on the lack of safety and stewarding in that stand ? An accident waiting to happen, dangerous for anyone with kids ! Saw a few fathers with distraught kids before the game, poor stewarding and too many bodies in in a limited space.

Numerous complaints on social media including a young woman who was knocked unconscious.

Agree that the upper North Stand concourse is not fit for purpose.

Would've taken 15 mins to get just up the stairs from the turnstiles, had I not turned around and taken a different set of steps. Non-moving queues just to get up to there into the jumble of bodies.

Then a 10 min shuffle through 3000+ bodies to get past the bar into the only remaining slightly less busy corner.

Toilets are shit too, and could fit 5 people in.

Police & stewards came barging through (and struggled) a few times.

I saw a policeman's hat get launched off his head into the lower tier though :hehe:

The actual seating area of the stand is fine. Just the concourse that's shit. Reminds me of Forest's tight little away end. Lightyears away from under the Canton where we can swing cats around.
Remember it from when we played them in the league cup, which was a good while ago as Milner in earlier stage of career. Remember it being dangerous then and would be even worse for an FA Cup game on a Friday

Agree, easily the worst concourse I’ve ever been in and extremely poorly stewarded too, how it’s allowed in this day and age is beyond me. Just to add to that, unsurprisingly West Midlands police once more lived up to their age old reputation of being a bunch of surly, unhelpful, difficult bunch of pricks.

What a fucking night. Forget the score, we made a good account of ourselves and our fans out sang theirs for 90 minutes. Ian Wright did the ayatollah and Keane was called a jack bastard for refusing to. Train back to New Street was full of city singing and doing coke off each others buttocks. Fucking love this club. Fucking cunted here.
