VT has put an order in.

One of you be a hero and dm him this on instagram and share his reaction I beg you :hehe:
I asked my lad to but apparently he’s already blocked him for calling him a ‘useless sausage’ after the Stoke match.

I was really shocked when I saw Walesonline, Annis and some of the football social media accounts this morning report on Riza's press conference. But after watching the whole thing back, I really think they have all strung him right up there. I think Riza's comments were taken out of context when you watch the whole thing. Which is funny because not long before he said he needs to be more careful about what he says because people like to take his comments out of context to fit their own narrative. It seems like its also affected his relationship with his family too.

Regardless whether we think he's the right man for the job or not (I think we've all made up our own mind on that) Just some advice for him if he reads this forum.

He needs to stay away from social media, spend more time with his family and don't neglect them (as family is what will keep him sane and grounded in tough times) and also come to the fans after the game. Win or lose and not just walk down the tunnel.

Those going to Sheffield- you're all awesome, I wish I could be there. Please give the team all of your support, regardless of your views on individuals. We have 4 games left and this could be our last 4 games in the championship for a while if it doesn't go to plan. So give it everything you got and control what you can control:warnock::aya:

I don’t think his comment was particularly taken out of context. He said he reads all the fans comments and a lot of them are clueless. Now he may well be correct about that, but he needs to realise that we aren’t professionals (there may be some that are or have been) we are just fans, and forums like this are simply places for discussion and as such you will get a wide variety of views, and opinions which we are all entitled to. Some will obviously be nonsense, but there is also plenty of interesting chat out there.

He claims on one hand that he’s confident that he is the right man for the job then admits to reading fans forums. Why does he feel the the need to read fans comments if he is so confident in his ability to do the job?

I agree with you though, he really needs to stay off the social media if he can’t take it for what it is.

He praised the Cardiff fans before he made this comment which didn't get picked up on. This comment was made in relation to a question to what he's learned and his answer was stay off/ limit his time on social media for this reason, which is fair enough. He wasn't slagging off an entire fanbase like it was made out to be, as I said he was actually praising the Cardiff fans just a few minutes before. But Riza calls Cardiff City fans clueless is a much more interesting headline than Riza praises Cardiff fans support.

Since being appointed permanently we've won the least amount of games in the league. What is it now? 5 wins in 30 or something? It's not clueless to call that out for what it is, absolutely shite.

Yes you’re right, I watched it all last night and he did praise the fans prior to that, specially the away fans. But fans on social media are also fans.
A manager calling some of the fans clueless on the back of 5 wins in 29 and when the team are in such a precarious position is ill advised at best.

People on social media may be genuine fans but more often they are just utter gobshites desperate for attention. Managers shouldn't be paying attention to fans on social media - what good will come of it? Tactical insight from a guy who couldn't get into his school team?

Spot on Pops.

Ultimately people are moaning because we’re fucking shit. As a manager the best way to avoid people thinking you’re useless is to win a few football matches and try not to get relegated. If you can’t do that then you’ve either got a team that’s not good enough or you’re not a very good manager. Personally I think that we’ve got good enough players for us to not be relegated so therefore the blame lies with Riza.

If he can’t handle criticism then maybe he needs to find another career path - something that he’ll be doing anyway in a few weeks time.

The slice of luck that Riza had and which fooled everyone was having Plymouth and Portsmouth at home in the space of 4 days, with the temporary benefit of new manager bounce.

The Swansea win kept him in the job. The results up to that game were pretty fookin horrific:nope:
