Time travel, and one last game at Ninian Park would be my first destination. Not THE last game mind, that was crap. But, maybe Man City, maybe Leeds, maybe Crewe 1988.

Four thousand, five hundred and fifty four.

Arsenal finished 14th that season.

That photo was taken from almost where I sat for the Milan v Inter derby in 2006.

Match was a Sunday afternoon kick off, so we made a weekend of it with a noon ish flight on the Friday.

Due to a protest planned by the Inter fans, it got moved to the Sunday lunchtime.

Then to the Saturday night.

Then to the Friday night. All in the space of a few days after we'd booked everything.

:nope:

We landed, jumped in the limo transfer I'd fortunately booked, down to the hotel to pick up the tickets (driving past the San Siro), then back to the ground. Missed the first 10 minutes, which was a damn sight better than I'd feared!!

That's mental how they can do that. I sort of understand if a match is postponed to a later date but moved forward? Twice? And to the same day?

Totally different attitude to things in different countries.

As it turned out, the Inter fans mostly boycotted, except for a couple of hundred fans at the top of their section with a huge banner slagging out their owners.

[UWSL]Despite all that, I'm so gad it wasn't put back as I would've missed my possibly one chance to see that derby in that stadium. [/UWSL]

[UWSL]Absolutely fucking stunning stadium and amazing noise from the Milan fans in the Curva Nord[/UWSL]

A full San Siro is some sight…

I was lucky enough to get tickets for the title decider around 2006. Milan v Roma. I was sat in the top tier you can see in that pic. Shevchenko scored the winner, sealing the title for Milan.

Roma fans had the entire bottom tier behind the goal, must have been 6-8k of them. I’ve never witnessed violent disorder anything like what I saw that day… before the game, during and after. Absolutely mental. We got tear gassed by the police close to the race track and had to run for our lives 🤣🤣 Absolutely mental that day was.
