Not sure I'd agree there.

With the ball at his feet yeah, but I'd put forward arguments for Alexander and Marshall for sure and you could also potentially make them too for Smithies/Etheridge/Heaton.

Keeper is one position we've definitely been blessed in, excluding Bywater/Konstantopolous/Enckelmen since 2000.
Yep Alexander was great.

These people that claim to know what players earn and the ins and outs of their contract negotiations are, to a man, full of shit.
Unless they say a rumour we like, don't forget that

Smithies best all rounder IMO but the others had excellent seasons especially the two Jocks. As good as Heaton clearly is I don't remember him shining that much except for in the League Cup. That said technically good keepers like Heaton and Smithies make it look easier than it is and need less flash saves because of good positioning and decision making

I think a lot of the best keepers don't actually look that good, or don't make the typical Hollywood saves just by virtue of being in the right place at the right time.

Trott I think is similar to Horvath or Alnwick in that because their positioning isn't so good in comparison to Marshall/Heaton/Smithies and so that they make phenomenal saves (to their credit), but someone like Marshall/Heaton/Smithies would make the same save look a lot more routine.

Wouldn't get the same "ooooh" from the crowd, but would be an example of better all around goalkeeping. Not to say though that it's an only example of being a good keeper however.

I thought Marshall was our Player of the Year when we got promoted to the Prem the first time.

David Marshall was a key figure in Cardiff City's 2012/13 Champonship-winning season, earning promotion to the Premier League. As a consistent shot-stopper, he recorded a league-high 18 clean sheets during that campaign.
