Summer Transfer Window

I really hope we can hold off these clubs, if we're not hanging onto our best prospects then what is the point?

I think that unless it's a really stupid bid he won't be going anywhere this window. If he has another good season though, next year I think will be a very different matter and the money then would be rediculous.

I don't think there will be financial pressure to sell, but if a player has had his head turned, then better he goes.

No more Kieffer Moore's please! :nope:
Its the finance that will rule.
If selling Lawlor allows us to bring in two or three or pay the wage bill then sadly it will happen if Cardiff City history has anything to do with it.

Cardiff City history will have nothing to do with it, I promise

He's very good actually. The move to York was a calculated gamble to give himself exposure through playing regular football. Good luck to him.
Oh cmon :facepalm:your positivity needs a reality check sometimes, I've seen him play and he was average at best.

I don’t think Lawlor will go this season.

Clubs will be trying it on trying to get him now whilst his value will still be lower. After a season or two in the championship he will be worth a fortune.

He is the crown jewel from this batch of youngsters none of the others will get anywhere near his value.

Good luck to the lad at hearts though, hope it works out for him.

See flw say his current value is just £1.5 m! :nope::nope::nope:

What would be considered an acceptable bid for him?

To any other club, he’s broken into the team and had a very good season, but in league one. He’s also broken into the national team and has proved he can play against players who are better than league one standard.

But he isn’t really proven in the league above league one, so it would be somewhat of a risk for other clubs.

I imagine they wouldn’t value him anything more than 3 or possibly 4m at this stage.

For us however, he’s a young academy product, who fits into this style of play extremely well and is only going to get better.

Personally, I wouldn’t sell him for anything less than 15 million.

That’s not me saying he’s worth 15m right now, but how important he will be for us over the coming seasons.

A Scottish Premiership title contener for next season, buying a defender from non league. Says everything about the way Scottish football is heading 🙄
He's not even that good.
Hearts have a phenomenal transfer model based on finding as much value as possible out of players that no one else is looking at. Think they've signed a few lads from places like Estonia and Slovenia recently that have been major contributors for them last summer.

They're owned by Tony Bloom who's brought his operating model up from Brighton.

Fagan-Walcott going to York was a calculated gamble that's paid off for him. I was surprised we let him go - he was a pretty good centre half for his age.

£3-4m is spectacularly low IMO.

I'd say far closer to £20m - homegrown so counts for the registration rules, still only 20 and playing 30 games a season at a high level and is a full international with multiple caps. Homegrown in the UK is a huge value multiplier for young talents - they need to do 3 years in the UK before the age of 21 to count which he of course has.

Same goes for Kpakio and J. Colwill, although I'd have them around £15m.

We bought Daland for £4m and McGuinness just went for £4m last summer. He's worth so much more than both of those.

I'd trust FLW as much as I trust David Lammy.
Well transfer market uk has him valued also very low, at €1.8m, im not saying they are right, just strange that they think his value is so low! Be devastated if we got less than we did for mcguiness. Anything less than £10m with a hefty sell on fee would be galling

I agree with what you’ve said

I just mean that other clubs will probably value him at around 3-4m as it stands right now
