Breaking news! Match day 5 saw the first draw in the illustrious history in the AWC. Vincent Tan and Albert Adomah could not be separated, with 600 votes each.

OK, 6 votes each.

It's still a draw though, so the match is now in extra time.

Match day 6 saw no such issue, with Keiffer Moore handing Ryan Wintle his arse on a plate. Here's hoping that's not too demoralising for the boy Wintle as we approach the new season. In fairness, he did very well reaching the knock-out stages.

Update time!

The round of 16 ties are complete.

Firstly, the late result in from the Tan v Adomah thriller, after they could not be separated over the regulation 48 hours.

Adomah progresses, 4:6 (AET)

Onto the final two Last 16 ties, which came to an enthralling conclusion this evening.

In match no.7, Gareth Thomas flew the rainbow flag all the way into the quarter finals, beating Sol Bamba in a cagey 4:5 contest. A cruel blow for the much loved Boro-bound Ivorian.

Match no.8, meanwhile, was a mismatch.

Voters gave a ringing endorsement to Rambo and a big two fingers to Sam Hammam. as our former owner follows the current one out of the competition at the Last 16 stage.

That means the Quarter Final places are all now decided. More on that shortly...
