The Cardiff City Atlas

Time for an update - obviously we have Sory Kaba to add for Guinea and of course KTC for Martinique (thanks @PointyHead ), which has a national football team, so definitely deserves its insertion into the atlas, despite @TDA's astute observation that, as we all knew, it is actually a French department, whatever that is. We did originally have KTC in for France, so Loic Damour has come off the bench to replace him.

I also happened across a few new additions, courtesy of Transfermarkt, which I now realise allows you to look at Cardiff's A-Z of players by nationality. We have: -

Uche Ikpeazu, who joins us courtesy of his Ugandan grandmother (how did we miss that?)
Jazzi Barnum-Bobb, famously of St Vincent & The Grenadines
and City legend Tidjane Balde, who seems to have joined the 21's for six months from Inter in 2015, which may be tenuous, but he's from Portugal, so that's good enough for me.

Still quite a few countries up for grabs.

Criminal that Balde was overlooked by Portugal all those years.

French departments are the equivalent of UK counties and are numbered 1 - 99. Five overseas departments are included as being within France proper and are as much a part of the country as say Normandy. They are part of the EU and use the Euro, even though they are in the Caribbean or Indian Ocean.

It was on the grand tour that the flight from Paris to Madagascar (french) is officially the longest internal flight in the world

Nearly there, it was Saint Denis, Reunion. Place looked amazing.

Yes, Reunion

Met quite a few over the years who have moved to France from there as there are so few opportunities, paradise or no paradise.

Exciting news...

That's Guatemala in the bag, and despite signing no players yet this window, we have ticked another box in the Cardiff City Atlas

The current atlas state of play is as follows...

Now a cynic might suggest he was in South America for different reasons :sherlock:

It's time to resurrect this thread, as the window's open and we're speculating about mysterious Panamanians.

Here is the list of nations NOT currently represented in the City Atlas.

There are a few surprising ones in there: Czech Republic, Sweden, Mexico, Bulgaria, Russia for instance.

There is no such country. There is only Sudan, and South Sudan.

What a silly question.

No I did not just look that up. :hehe::coat:
