Admittedly, just my guess, but Cooper has got the club going in the right direction and they are strengthening already this window.

Someone like Neco is more likely to be entrusted to him, rather than being thrown into a relegation dogfight withan unproven manager

Maybe so, but it could be that the backlash from the fans to Morison's comments about the younger players may have wider consequences and make clubs think twice before sending developing players here.

Interesting point. I wouldn't have thought it's made many ripples outside the club and fanbase though. Morrison's publicly backtracked & with Davies starting & scoring it may look there was method in the madness. Whilst there has been a lot of forum & pub talk about it locally and commentary in podcasts etc I'd wager its just background noise to other clubs.

Let's hope so, but you wouldn't expect any ripples unless a club was looking more closely at City as a potential away club.
