Drinks prices in Tampa

What a piss take. I bet they whack up the prices of transport and food/drinks, everything. Even the cheapest trip to one match would be $1000
Everything is jacked up. Hotels in host cities have tripled their prices for match nights. The drinks prices someone posted is normal for stadium prices which is also stupid. Transportation to the matches is highly inflated also. It’s sad because true fans would be traveling to these matches in droves but there’s no way I’m spending that kind of money on their greed.
Ticket prices for league matches in UK is extremely reasonable as is club membership and even season ticket prices. I paid around $75 total for Cardiff club membership and the away ticket to Barnsley. I’d be hard pressed to find any ticket here in the USA for any sporting event for that price. Which is just stupid. It wasn’t always like that, it happened over the last 10-15 years.

I’m hoping the World Cup in Portugal the next cycle is more reasonably priced and I can spend 3 weeks or so going to matches. One can hope at least. Lol
Crazy that you have to hope that crossing the Atlantic makes things more affordable.

Another Scot has his ESTA revoked at the last minute

I can only assume that the Islamic Republic of Scotland is a terrorist hotbed, and that's why the Yanks are deathly scared of letting them in for a few weeks.

The games are set to be half-empty at this rate. Hope at least some of the fans had refundable hotels etc

I suspect the key part of that article is
"Travellers must provide complete and truthful information, including all criminal history."

That would usually invalidate the ESTA before it was approved. Criminals don't get approval initially, even if it's a police caution on their history. He was allowed his VISA into Australia, who usually are pretty strict on those things too, for the last 10 years. Had an ESTA approved initially, but at the last moment the status was changed.

A family of 7 were this week denied entry too, after having ESTA approval originally. I doubt the children in that party are hardened criminals.

That presumes the issue was a criminal offence though.

Could have put wrong details in, could be anything.

Ian Wright is there....Has done bird

Johnny Vaughn...Has done bird...Never got a visa back in the day when he was properly famous...

Wright driving offences and not paying fines

Vaughan selling sniff...

Do they take the crimes into account then ?

Most of these refusals lack context or detail which isn't very helpful. Could be justifiable or just Trump trying to show that they have rigid border rules
