On Sunday Wrexham face 8th-placed Dagenham & Redbridge and need 3 points to have any hope of finishing in top spot.

Top of the league Stockport face 4th-placed Halifax Town and need only a draw to secure automatic promotion.

If Wrexham win and Stockport lose then Wrexham will be promoted.

If they don't get promoted on Sunday you wouldn't bet against them in the playoffs mind.

I think like the position are Scotland are in that can be a double edged sword. HCingvsone momentum from your first win can help but you may be tired or picked up injuries and suspensions

When I started supporting City in the 1960's Wrexham were in the old 4th Division, along with Swansea and Newport and we didn't think about any of them.

I remember going home and away against Wrexham in the early 90’s and didn’t think the rivalry was that bad. I was probably off my tits at the time though.
Apart from the promotion season, they always seemed to do better than us and the Jacks.

never liked them in the early 90's but met some good blokes from wrexham on away trips with wales tbh. personally i'd just like another welsh team back in the league

Plus there was a very competitive on field rivalry around that time both in the league and the Welsh Cup. Beating them 2-0 to clinch promotion up there in 1993 one of my favourite memories of that time. Gary Bennett getting sent off when we smashed them 5-1 a year or two later. The Grange End "limbs" when Carl Dale scored in a Welsh cup game one of the most iconic images of that era for me.

Plus there was a very competitive on field rivalry around that time both in the league and the Welsh Cup. The stick we used to give Gary Bennett especially that time he got sent offHe was a good player though fair play which is probably why he used to get so much dogs abuse of us.
