I'd never get tired of punching Chris Suttons face in

............... but he has to live with the sad fact that when he wakes up in the morning he's still Chris Sutton. That's compensation enough for me. :bluebird:

Yep. Unfortunately he’s probably bang on though isn’t he.
About us losing? Probably, not about us only beating Sheff U reserves. They made 7 changes from their previous game, so did we. We beat them with our reserves if that's the case.

He seems to have a downer on us although I can't argue with his prediction. I remember when we got promoted to the PL he said we were the worst team ever to come up from the championship and would beat Derby's record for fewest points.

He said that on 606 if I recall. He was obviously just on a wind up. That’s his job isn’t it.

That's a fair comment this time around though probably from a work experience kid after a minutes research on Google or AI. When he slagged us off on the Prem he was just being a lazy hack. He's a thick bitter cunt probably because all his teammates and fellow pundits hate him according to hearsay

Pure and simple

He's a professional gobshite. Can't rely on charisma, humour or intelligence so just goes round slagging teams off. Reasonable player terrible pundit

Shite player. Only got any recognition because he played alongside Shearer for a bit. A pretty mediocre scoring record other than that aside from playing in a pub league for Celtic.

Also got done for this….

“In July 2000, Sutton was convicted of two charges of common assault and fined £300 plus costs after an incident outside a restaurant in which he spat in the face of another man”

Which tells you everything about the type of shithouse he is.

Shithouse indeed.

I'm excited about tomorrow, of course we should have no chance.

But the romantic/fantasist sees Rubin Colwill playing a blinder, being the maverick player that he is.

You never know, every team has a day where they draw a blank, we only need a draw to win in theory!

But excited to see some of the younger players, maybe Lawlor and Giles, who both look really good on the ball. All of a sudden we look like we're getting a bunch of academy graduates who could go on to make 100's of championship level appearances, which will lead to the odd couple of Premier quality players too.:aya:

It's nice to have that hope about the academy, but Giles had a torrid 45 minutes against Stoke and was hooked at half-time.

It does seem to be in a much better place though. Davies, Colwill and Bagan are proper squad members and others have had promising cameos. More are starting to make reasonable professional careers elsewhere which is progress.

Ashford also, but throwing the untried in as essentially cannon fodder may not be the best development strategy. Needs must though and Burnley is a much more important game.

Of course, knew I was forgetting a good player which shows how far we have come.

I agree - we are where we are. Expecting a hybrid team today. Big players need to be protected for the run in. I[UWSL]f any of the fringe players shine they could go into the reckoning [/UWSL]

Young players sometimes shine when given the chance in these sort of games. Remember Colwill, Davies, King and Denham at Anfield a couple of seasons ago. I would expect OR will just tell them that there’s no pressure and to just go out and enjoy themselves.
