Controvershull thread

Fecking splitters...:hehe:

:hehe:

It's a fair point though Dai. There's not a single Labour Farce, in the Labour Farce thread.

I'm more than happy to see any political party get slated when they're caught short, illegal or corrupt.

I also agree with a lot of your points on Corbyn and Starmer, but right now, he's the best chance we've got of ridding us all of the corrupt Tory scum.

How can someone wake up at 3am and be thinking politics?
There's only 4 things I wake up at this hour for.

Piss
Shit
Food
Wank

I dont see an option there for:

'Typing onto a City forum to berate someone who has typed onto a City forum'

:sherlock:

I think if we are dealing with politics we should deal fairly with the opposition as it stands at the moment, as opposed to how we would like it to be.

By GE time I fully expect another party to emerge, which will comprise of those grass root members and ex members who are opposed to a rerun of Blairite politics.

Now I'm not into what's good for beating the Tories, that's how we ended up with a bigger mess caused by Blairite politicians and Blairite financial backers.

I for one am not about to want to see that mistake repeated all over again.

My personal choice would be a rainbow coalition of Labour, Lib Dems, Plaid, SNP and Green Party.

They then change the whole system to Proportional Representation for good, banish all the Billionaire non dom right wing rag owners, and investigate the theft of the billions of taxpayer money under the Tories simce 2010.

Swiftly followed by their court hearings, and jail.

Amen to that.

Sounds good but too many chefs in the kitchen, more harm than good, we can only live in hope on everything else

So just to be clear, you’d want a party of centrist scum as well as not one, but two nationalist parties leading the UK, both of whom have independence for Wales and Scotland as core principles?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally on board with that. Just surprised that you are

I don't see any contradiction in that. A rainbow alliance would prevent the authoritarian, neo-liberal agenda, of the current leadership of Labour. Labour could not act unilaterally on an agenda and would have to rely on the rest of the coalition.

What if some of the parties in the coalition are centrist scum though?

Fair enough. Might be tricky though as Dai is the thread caretaker for the Labour Farce thread
He's also pretty much the only one who posts in it to be fair.

Close it on Monday I say, then he can start a new one on Tuesday?

Why do we need to start opening and closing threads? There's plenty of shit on both Labour and the dreaded Tories.

Keep up at the back.

It’s standard procedure to have monthly threads for this stuff.

Not everything’s a conspiracy ya daft old pudding.

WE had a debate about this a while back, specifically about the Tory farce thread tbf, but the upshot was that it was felt that a 600+ page thread could be a bt daunting for a new member to wade through, so at great personal cost (sacrificing any further page number related banners) it was agreed to have a monthly thread about the Tories - I think we're up to 40 pages in one month so far.
Seems only fair to apply the same approach to the labour thread, but I do accept that even you might struggle to fill 40 pages a month of why you don't like Starmer, but I have every confidence you'll give it a good old go.

Can’t we just have a Splotty’s Bullshit thread and put everything he posts in there?

You just need two people to agree on a course of action, for it to be rightly termed as a conspiracy.
If there was no such thing as a conspiracy, then the word, conspiracy, would simply not exist.

Sorry, but that's just wrong.

My Oxford dictionary defines "Conspiracy" as "Plotting to do evil"

I'm not sure that really applies in this case does it?
