With all due respect, why? He was a shitty human being - sure there have been a lot worse in the world, but his behaviour was enabled by people downplaying it. "Ah, passionate City fan, just a bit eccentric".

He's somebody that was clearly failed by the system, from a mental health perspective and his behaviour faced few if any consequences - club could and should have issued a life ban.

Sad he's dead, but he harassed a lot of people over a long timeframe.

The fact that his last "media" was that tosser Cullan exploiting him should get people angry.

Unlike you to pick your moment to try and be contraversial.

He wasn't a shitty person and he did have mental issues. City was his superpower and he lived it to the full and as far as I'm concerned he added character to the years I've followed the club. He'll certainly be remembered long after you and I have gone

It's a difficult one.

I didn't know him personally, only through supporting the City - and through that there were none more dedicated which should be celebrated.

Yet, the bloke was at times supposedly a creep. However, he was clearly mentally ill and like you say, clearly failed by the system and probably should've been banned.

There's also an element of "is it too soon" to it all as well.

I'd say given how recent it is by all means celebrate the positives but don't forget the negatives - I think a few ladies in the ticket office will be somewhat relieved.
He'd have grown up in an era when schools wouldn't have dealt with behaviour, he'd not have got the support clearly needed. That's absolutely not his fault.

I don;t think anybody here would excuse his behaviour, but it's two sides of the same coin. His obsessive behaviour around hassling club staff comes from that passion and dedication. You can't separate the two.

As I said, it's sad that he's dead.

Absolutely.

However, it's been a day at most and probably comes down to how you view the dead should be remembered and at what point it's suitable to have the conversations.

For me, at this moment in time it's a case I'd be saying remember the positives and then once he's buried then's the time for the conversation about the negatives, yet I still wouldn't blame anyone (particularly the female employees of the club) for feeling positive about the fact he's no longer around to harass them.

My partner has a cousin who sends shoeboxes of his own shit to people he disagrees with online and was incredibly sexually aroused by a now demolished building.

Although he's disabled his behaviour is reprehensible and he knows that, yet he doesn't stop. He's been arrested for stalking and still keeps going.

If he died tomorrow I'd say the same - remember the things he did positively until you get to the point where he's away and then is the time for discussion about the negatives, but I get that it's a very personal thing to decide.

Just had something come through on a city fans WhatsApp group. Very sad. Saw him outside the ground at the Blackpool game.

RIP Bluebird.

Wow that’s really sad news

He was a proper oddball

But he was our oddball

Keep shouting at our keepers from the skies Dai

Me with Dai Hunt at the Sala memorial at the CCS when I took the litle 'un down to the stadium to lay a scarf in front of the statue.

Dai Hunt latched onto us and started loudly giving us his Sala conspiracy theories and his list of players we were definitely signing in that January's transfer window. :hehe:
