I think huge boost is slightly over egging it!

Could be worse I reckon.

Personally I think it’s a good appointment although I can understand why many other supporters will be a bit underwhelmed

I’m just annoyed it took so long the whole process was ridiculous and should have been sorted months ago

I just hope that in the background Bulut was still working with the recruitment team on possible signings while his own negotiations with Tan where ongoing

I'm sure he was a bit but his focus would be elsewhere, which is human nature. Still got a decent window to recruit. Hopefully there's some funds available.

Worrying there's hints about trimming the loan budget but we'd have been big trouble without the loanees we've had since Morrison.

About time.
Not sure what people were expecting really.
Big names mean big money.
Better stick with what you know and give him the chance to develop things a new face coming in is back to square one again.

But surely you can understand why nobody is excited. It's like accepting a Sunak to keep a Truss out

agree with some - what was the realistic alternative?

We have made some progress under Bulut. The previous season seems a distant memory to some.

If he can work on getting some consistency into results - we were feast or famine for most of the season - then further progress should be the goal. I’m not going to call for his head if we don’t make the playoffs but if we compete around that area I think that would be considered another step forward.

Interested to see who he might bring in as well now. Goutas and Siopis were decent signings so hopefully he can add some more quality

I certainly don’t see the need to be down about it tbh

Which can of course all change 10 games in :hehe:

This is all very fair. I'm not down about his appointment but I'm unexcited. Unless we make some shrewd signings my feelings are we go backwards.

Bulut had a lot of goodwill after a decent start (including entertaining football initially) to the season and smashing the Jacks and Bristol. If we are as mediocre as the second half of the season with bad home form and ugly football then the fans will turn quickly. I have a sneaking suspicion that Bulut is pissed off with Tan and his heart might not be in it if things aren't going well.

I don’t pay enough attention to other clubs but I wonder how long the managers were at the places like your Ipswich, or Norwich for example who got in amongst it this year.

At some point surely we want to stop the constant changing and I think the nod to continuity should be viewed as a good mental change at the club

And there is the reason the club didn't announce until AFTER the early bird ST prices ended.
They didn't want to hamper sales.

That's another season of utter mediocrity then. It'll be a result if we finish 12th again.

Guess I'll be watching the devils this season

I never saw a problem with letting things run until the end of his contract and fully expected this to be the outcome.

The club needs the continuity and the chance to build upon the foundations from last season and, to be fair, they were pretty solid and there were some real highlights to look back on.

Did you even go down the City last season?
no cos of erol and the lack of no name signings.

uninspired.

i think ive done enough down there now, had my fair share of shit seasons, time to let you youngsters carry the torch now.

ill only be back if we`re a playoff potential team. or draw a big team in a cup or summin.
with booze, a home games a good 60 quid day out i reckon, id rather spend 15 bucks on a bottle of bells and drink in hot tub me.

Yes but sometimes you have to cut your cloth accordingly.
Anyway Built did well to finish 12th.football not easy on the eye but I would take that over relegation. Don't forget he followed a long line of failures.

Can I be considered a youngster down the City? I’ve been going for about 29 years mun with my old man and then getting a ST each year since I was a teen.
