Off-Topic Exotic birds

Go through any of the main parks and they are pretty common. If you hear birds screeching in London look up and you'll probably see a parakeet. They are pretty damn common these days and a lot more around than there used to be [regretting open goal left for Nuggles here]
I was driving into London, so occasionally had me eyes on the road, when I saw the first one, I got all excited as the only thing I could think of with the wing shape was a Hobby, a great bird to see. Then as I got more and more into London, I saw lots of them and eventually managed to identify them. Must admit I didn't see any when I was actually in the capital, wandering around for several hours before going to see Morrissey in concert.
Here is a photo, not mine, from the aforementioned concert...

Straightforward op and much less recovery time needed than with knees. I was up a ladder two weeks after mine (much to the horror of the surgeon) and playing golf after six.
Why is it not the same for my Dad? Was meant to be home yesterday but he's still in there

From memory, they kept my mum in for a couple of days, wouldn’t let her out until she was able to walk down some stairs.
It must be really worrying for you, hopefully good news soon.

Thanks  They were going to let him home yesterday then they noticed he had blood running down his leg, he's been waiting to see the doctor all day and not had anything except a cup of tea, we can't go in because he's in an isolation room because of his previous infections and I'm full of a cold anyway so don't want to pass that on, it's just one thing after another and he's getting weaker and thinner by the day.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it gets sorted soon

Thanks  It's just depressing and been a year from hell for them, I just need a moan about it.
Good to vent sometimes. Hopefully it will be transformative for him when it settles down

I was in for five days after the op, but that was the planned recovery time. Needs to take care over the first week or so, but the op itself is straightforward and so is recovery if you follow the instructions - e.g. don't climb ladders :hide:

He should also have a program of exercises reminiscent of a ballerina limbering up :hehe:

Great.

Now I have an image in my head of you in a leotard doing the dance of the sugar plum fairy

It really is scarily similar. Repetitions of rotations and stretches in all directions.
