I've no idea what it cost, but at 46%, I've put a lump of ice in it and it has the feel of a good light bodied Speyside malt - a Glenlivet maybe, but with a kick
Can't remember exact price but usually equivalent of a good aged Scottish malt. Decent value if in the twenties. Will be interesting when they start to issue 10 year malts to see how they compare - was told a while back they were planning to do so

Quelle surprise!

The friend here this week recommended non-alc Guinness in cans. Not my personal choice but has anyone tried it?

Any stout to go with the heads?

Exactly. As a newish brand they would not have an age statement and I was wondering when that might happen. Even so, some of the best value Scottish malts are very young. Glen Moray and Glen Grant are excellent. Last time I was up there, Glen Moray had just launched a lightly peated bottle, which was lovely.

Wouldn't have bought it myself but my wife got me some as I enjoyed the pint I had at the brewery. Pretty decent @TH63

I went on a tour to their distillery that was very good (some great country pubs down the road too). Was a few years ago and they suggested then it wasn't that far away but I haven't seen an 8 or 10 year from them yet.
What I liked most about the tour was the honesty of the guide - he admitted in private that all the spin around the local water's unique qualities was just PR and prose. He also made the point that if you don't see an age on a whisky then it doesn't have one - which I guess I knew but am much more conscious of now when buying a bottle.

Any good? Their small batch stuff had been a bit better of late but that'll probably stop now they've been bought out and gutted.

It’s ok

Tesco seem to be rotating beers cos that and a few others were reduced to clear
