This Gary Otto truly is a man of the world.Wasn’t it him who created most of the hype?
What happened to the mysterious Malaysian businessman he was so sure was buying the club?
It depends what you want I suppose .
I know Tan has made loads of mistakes mainly in not having the right people in charge.
But his in money did bring us a degree of success that we couldn't done without that injection of cash.
Money is King in the modern game. The transfer fees eg are ridiculous.
For me we had a bit of success more than I have witnessed in the years I have been supporting. Not going backwards is all I want. And respect for the club. Tan failed. At both.
What success? Promotion followed by a timid relegation? Beating Man U in a dead rubber? What about the Tan era is golden?
Arguably Ridsdale did more to keep the club afloat than anyone, and without a billionaires money too.For me we had a bit of success more than I have witnessed in the years I have been supporting.
People have a go at Tan and rightly so in some things but my god we have had a string of owners who either put nothing in or in some cases sold everything that wasn't nailed down.
I agree Tan should have approached things differently but it's easy to forget that without him we may not exist now if we were left to the likes of Dridsdale or Hamman we would have gone just like Wimbledon did.

Is that why we were up the high court every other week and were getting sold down the river by Hamman. This isn't fact. We now know there are three interested parties, and I have not seen a club owner fail to sell a club. Without him, we may exist in a better state, and without huge debts.
Name names.More than can be said of some.

There are a number of clubs that went bust.
We were lucky that Tan stepped in.
Despite some of his ideas and ways he tried to improve the club and hasn't gained financially from it. More than can be said of some.
Do your own researchWhich championship clubs went bust? How long had the club gone without a High Court appearance before Tan got on board? Which owners haven't tried improving the club? Who was the last owner to leave the club in a league position higher than the one he inherited?
Was Clemo a good owner or a bad one?

If you really need that then you can't know too much about the club.Name names.
Being a championship club doesn't mean you can't go bust.Which championship clubs went bust? How long had the club gone without a High Court appearance before Tan got on board? Is it Shitpeas? If you really need that then you can't know too much about the club.
Not guilty. I was in a Pizza Hut in Bracknell. Is it Shitpeas?

Our owners have been poor . Some are genuine without the financial clout others were neither wealthy enough or clever enough.
Hamman and Ridsdale were terrible.
You tell me which owner was good because apart from Tan I struggle to think of one that has made any sort of impact.
I agree it ended badly but he did put his hand in his pocket and tried to improve the club.

The Rebrand? Called us customers? The maggot?Apart from 100m of debt and taking us to L1 for the first time in 25 years, what has Tan ever done for us?
