So the curtain falls on what has been an entertaining season in league one .But what are everyone's thought's. Mine are going into it was a bit of trepidation after the previous seasons relegation ,and new manager a young squad ,also knowing we weren't going to splash the cash trying to get promoted and the expectation of mid table obscurity. But we've had in BBM a manager who's galvanised a squad that must have been at a low ebb after last season he added some quality in Trott and Kellyman and got us playing attractive football making it an absolute joy to watch ,to see us dominate so many teams this season home and away has been great.Special mention to our away following who've travelled in numbers to back us.Hope you all have a great closed season ,and look forward to locking horns with the DJB 's Wurzels and Dead pool utd.BLUEBIRDS🐦

It’s been the most entertaining season for some time. Great to have a young manager who wants to play attractive football and use and develop our youngsters.
That said, I think we need to strengthen in a few places in order to establish ourselves in the championship.
Certainly we need a Sean Morrison type character in my view.
We need to get a bit “street smart” ahead of the new season otherwise can see us getting bullied out of games.

It's been a great season. We've spent next to nothing, added value to the squad, completely revamped our playing style and gone up comfortably. Going to games has become consistently enjoyable again, as has watching remotely. I'm hopeful that our decent performances against footballing teams are an indicator that we'll cope well next season with a few choice additions. We certainly can't be any worse than the rudderless state we were in before we came down.

All this does rather hinge on us either hanging on to BBM or there having been some kind of structure and succession plan put into place. Hopefully the widespread improvements the board have witnessed this season are enough to convince Vincent and co that it really is important to have the right quality of manager in place.

Won't miss the officiating and having seen the Stevenage "goal" that clinched their play-off spot, I bet Luton fans are really looking forward to another season of it!!

I didn't realise that League One doesn't use goal line technology. What a time to find out!

Me neither. I assumed it was used in all four divisions.
Me too. Bit weird they don't as very reliable unlike VAR and can't be that expensive in the scheme of things you wouldn't think

It’s a shame we won’t get to play Exeter Port Vale and Northampton.

Back to the meaningless soulless games against dross like Bristol Wrexham and that weird team who play in white kits and have to use square corner flags can’t remember the name of them now.

This season spoilt us after more than a few shite seasons. Yes the officiating was bad but overall we scored more goals than in recent seasons too.

Hoping the board & Tan get behind BBM now ready for next season, if they can’t then sell up, fuck off and let somebody else do it

Always easy to demand others spend money.

BBM's selling point was developing players; great, so now get them playing at Championship level.

I never get the "oh, thanks guys who got us promoted, now fuck off as we need better" mentality.

There are times that does make sense - look at Wrexham and what their ambitions have been, or Ipswich going up two divisions in two years and so on.

Also, I'd say if there are glaring weaknesses in your squad but you manage to go up those weaknesses are only going to be exacerbated in the higher division. We do have those weaknesses as it stands, and that's even if those like Ng, Chambers and Wintle come back. If they don't it's even more important we spend money.

Wrexham is a bad example though because they overpaid on mercenaries like Fletcher, McClean et al who were proven to no longer be Championship level. A couple of season rentals as best.

We've got an excellent academy, with lots of talent coming through and a manager specialising in youth development. Squad we have right now blends Championship experience with quality coming through the ranks, a nice blend.

There will be those shown the door even after what has been a successful season wage structure ect.Strengthening is a must what still is a youthful squad on the whole we will be up against much more competitive teams with seasoned players .BBM has got so much right this season ,and it will be interesting to see how he will approach it as most of the teams are possession based in the Championship so it will be a challenge to see if we have the lion share of possession against those teams ,also if he rotates the team as much as he has this season .We now face the challenge of keeping the best of what we have through contracts and the like and the attention from clubs for our younger talents .Should be an interesting few months leading up to next season .🐦BLUEBIRDS 🐦💙
