Saw Squeeze last time I was home, also Joe Jackson with an impressive second half of the set being all Music Hall, and also Paul Weller who I've seen many times and just gets better and better.
Saw a bit of Squeeze at Glastonbury this year. They seemed pretty washed up

Why don't you think the Catfish gig will go ahead? Millstad to big for them?

Seen Squeeze about 4 times now and they were all top drawer.

I know someone who has VHS video of The Squeeze gig held at Llandaff Rowing Club in the 80s or 90s.

Haven't hassled him for a while about uploading that, so it's about time I did.

Sounds like the only copy of a piece of Cardiff's history!!

Seeing as someone corrected the spelling of inauguration in another thread title can someone correct the grammatical error in this thread title?
Doing my fucking head in it is. :hehe:

They’ve been in limbo for years, broke up with no official announcement back in 2021. Attempted to make a comeback last year with a new song and a tour, their last date was due to take place in Ireland but was cancelled 10 mins before the gates opened due to “artist illness” they then cancelled their entire US tour for the same reason again with little social media interaction. People been speculating the singer has been a druggy for some time now and has become a nightmare to work with. Only glimmer of hope is they’ve just been signed to a new label who keeps teasing big things for this year, with catfish tho it’s hard to say whether it’ll go ahead, on the ticket too it’s says Principality Stadium / Cardiff City Stadium so something tells me should they not sell well it’s getting moved to CCS

Cheers for the context  I know they're popular but was shocked when they announced the Millstad as didn't think they'd be mainstream or big enough. People have told me they're a good band but I couldn't name a song off the top of my head

I’ve been a huge fan of them for years now before they really broke into a half mainstream stage but being honest I don’t think they could sell a stadium like that out. They’re also supposed to be doing Spurs’ new ground which is also unlikely to sell. Had they attempted to play these venues after their last album release leading up to 2021 before their breakup I would’ve backed them a bit more to be able to play these venues but their comeback was so lacklustre I think the interest is dwindling. I saw them last year for the third time and they were still brilliant but that’s just my opinion of course

I know bud, just messing around. Never heard of them - any good?
Decent. Quite laid back. I saw them at the Swn festival in the summer at Cornerstone on Charles St. Fabulous venue so maybe that was part of the attraction 😊 We'll see. Only a few quid a ticket anyway. I saw a few bands last Saturday at the Sustainable Studio on Tudor Street. Great little venue. Shale were good, Slate were superb.

They famously played Gwdihw when they were starting out.
