Next manager betting

I hope it's Ramsey. Maybe he will realise his injury situation is not going to allow his playing career to go very far and the job becomes more attractive.
He has had time to know our shortcomings etc so hits the ground running.
He will need an assistant if Gunter leaves
WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER MANAGER WITH NO EXPERIENCE

Ok I see your point but we don't need one thats off the managerial merry-go-round.We need one who is here to change things and build a better club because they care about it and its not just another job opportunity.

That Elphick being 2/1 is so random.

if the rumours are true that Hull are about to sack Ruben Selles then that's crazy. If he becomes available then that's a open goal for the club to inevitably miss:hehe:

Not for me. His record isn't great and his relationship with the owners at Reading was even worse.

I think if we were to go for an "up and comer" then this is the prime opportunity to do so.

Even with a huge trim of the squad and an increased reliance on youth we will still be one of, if not the best, squads in League One next season and we can take a chance on a well regarded young manager who's done well elsewhere. I've said before I like the look of Stockport County's manager Dave Challinor (if they don't win the playoffs as they'll probably be against Charlton in the final) and they've been highly impressive and are on for back-to-back promotions. If we were to go for a young manager, I do want it to be someone who's already had a go at managing us, and not just a random ex-player for us from the last 20 years in on the cheap.

It makes no difference who we appoint however if we don't have a DoF. The structure of the club is rotten from the top down and if we go into L1 with the same boardroom setup we've got now we won't get in the playoffs, let alone pissing the league.

Tan has a DoF at Kortrjk and look how well that has worked.

Just had a quick look and it appears he doesn’t have a DOF there.

Also a read of their time under Tan shows remarkable similarities to his time here. Basically clueless and trying to run the club on a part time basis with no knowledge of football.

Listed as Team Manager whatever that is?
Their Head Coach / Trainer works for the Team Manager, i.e. Head or Director of Football who is in overall charge.

Plenty of experienced coaches don't want to work with a DoF as they see them as interfering in what should be their areas of responsibility.

There is no guarantee that a DoF is going to be any better than an experienced manager and there are plenty of examples of them being given the boot as well if results are poor.

I read Dave Jones' name being mentioned as DoF. Someone of that calibre would make sense, but they don't fall off trees that often.

Exactly, I'm not against a DoF but you need to get the right one and one who can work constructively with any managers that come in. There also need to be clear lines of delineation and clear where responsibility lies for certain issues.

It's not a panacea in of and of itself like many like to think (not aimed at any forum members)
