Here's a quick explainer video for our new Member Bets feature that allows YOU to create and bet against any forum member on pretty much anything you want for any amount of credits you want to bet.

So what happens if no-one takes the person up on their bet? Is the bet then void, or does the person who set the bet still carry on and win or not win the bet?


Also, what's to stop people abusing the system and pay out on bets regardless of the actual result, in their attempt to build a credit mountain?

If no one takes a person up on their bet it expires at the set time limit and the creator of the bet has his stake returned.

The Credits don't come from the forum bank, people are betting their own Credits against each other.

A member cannot bet more than they have and the Credits do leave at the moment of the bet.

You should have had an alert that I've set up a member bet against you, so you can see how it works.

This member bets thing is interesting already, it's a weird thing for someone send you a bet.

You immediately feel a bit cautious, like it matters a bit more now because you're not just betting against the forum bank, you lose to another member.

The forum bank doesn't get bragging rights like another member does and the bank isn't bothered about taking your credits but a member would be happy to relieve you of them.
