POST MATCH FANS REACTIONS - ASTON VILLA

Never happy in defeat ,but I like many saw the Villa line up feared the worse. But we came away with a gritty performance even it was as expected a defensive one.To come away with a respectable scoreline and some good performances .Salech showing he can become a cult figure with his strong forward play and his willingness to attack the box.
I forgot too how well Bagan did when he came on. He is getting better every game.

How many times have we heard this comment from opposition fans.
Don't here it so much from opposition managers though:nope:
In fairness he's been shown a lot more faith by Riza than other managers

Saw lots of comments like this from neutrals on social media last night
Looks like Bellamy had a point. He looked really good in that deeper position. I wonder if he’ll be tempted to play him as a replacement for Ampadu?

Regarding yesterday's game I went with my son and 3 grandsons tickets for the North stand ! Would like too know anybody else's opinion on the lack of safety and stewarding in that stand ? An accident waiting to happen, dangerous for anyone with kids ! Saw a few fathers with distraught kids before the game, poor stewarding and too many bodies in in a limited space.

Why was it dangerous? Fan behaviour or layout of the stand?

I said it after the Bristol game and last night just solidified it. Great ball control, can drive up the field better than anyone, great vision and long range passing, and is now adding to the defensive side of his game.

Ramsey/Robertson with Colwill and Mannsverk sitting deeper for the rest of the season is the way to go.

Shame Bellamy was watching a Welsh league last night

It’s ok I’ve heard Bellars taped it and is watching it this morning.

Just the sheer amount of people in a small area,so clogging up stairways, difficult for adults to move never mind children or anybody with limited mobility, lack of stewards and most of those there were disinterested or useless ! Really surprised nobody was hurt ?

Look what happened when we moved Chambers from CB to CM. Most of us were fed up with his performances and wanted him out, then became one of the most important players in the team once he switched.

Same can happen with Rubin.

Maybe that’s because he’s not a 10 and we’re only just realising it. He’s only played in thus position the last few games and looks great, let’s see if he can build on it
We’ve had managers that have played him wide when most of us fans, myself included were saying he’s got to play as a 10. Bellamy is the first person that I can recall that suggested that he would be better as a defensive midfielder and it’s starting to look like he was bang on the money.
