I can't see a great deal wrong with that

Pity they weren't so strong on the shirt pulling and obstruction in the box. They let that go.

there was that one header in the first half that came off the top of his head as he couldn’t jump because his shirt was being pulled towards the ground. Apparently that’s fine.

Exactly.
League 1 refs so far have been disappointing I do get the impression that they see us as big fish in a small pond and try to even things up.

1 "big" chance 1 goal for Burton
8 "big" chances and bugger all for us

Annis saying Bellamy got it in for Rubin.....what a tart:hehe:

The way replayed last night wasn't the best to say the least. The wingers need to cross the ball and we desperately need a decent striker who can score goals consistently.Playin passing football lots nice but so predictable.IT WONT WPRK PUT WELL IN LEAGUE 1 playing this way

There was quite a few decent crosses in but Salech couldn't finish them.

What worries me is the wingers never beat their men so it all becomes a bit predictable for the opposition

I know nobody wants to hear this but for me Rubin was more of a hinderence last night.Coming short for the ball off our midfield and slowing what was already a pedestrian pace down to a crawl.Im not completely blaming him though,I think his starting position is wrong id like to see him pick the ball up off the back for when he's playing central but for me he should play wider in the left where he can see all the play,at the mo.ent he's receiving the ball on the half turn or even worse with his back to goal.He could be our Jack Grealish(Aaton Villa period)obviously
I read your posts and wonder if you’re even watching the same sport as us, let alone the same match. Your obsession with Rubin is seriously obscuring your view of the match.
Let off some steam, have a little tug. You can get pics of Rubin on Google.

Ashford in particular hardly ever tried to get to the dead line. He was always stopping and passing back or sideways.

I get the keeping possession bit but we often went from side without ever forcing anything. I found it disappointing that Kellyman and Nyakuhwa didn't beat their man either though granted the latter wasn't on long. Burton were generally playing the width of the 18 yard box but knew how to close down our wingers quite effectively.

With 11 men in or around the box there were unlikely to be any gaps opening up which is what we seemed to be hoping for. It was a time for taking chances, banging the ball into the box, chipping over the top, anything other than minutes at a time just aimlessly knocking it around in front of their defence.

Strikers need service and crosses to get on the end of.
We played some neat football but no directness and made it easy for them to defend.
Murphy will see that and sort it out.
