Football POST MATCH FANS REACTIONS - PLYMOUTH

And so it has, truth be told, until very recently.

I think Gavin Chesterfield has made a huge difference and is essentially a behind the scenes director of football.
And credit to the likes of Bellamy, Purse and the other previous academy coaches who have developed this current crop of youngsters over the last 5 or 10 or years.

Only got to see Peterborough and Port Vale before coming away, been watching the highlights though, just saw the Plymouth ones, seems ponderous is well out of the window. The Blues are going up...hopefully be home for Stockport.

Listening post match yesterday on Radio Wales Blake and Radcliffe weren't very forthcoming with praise especially Radcliffe saying we should walk the league simply because we've come down from the Championship ,no praise or mention of how young the squad are the way we've played recently ,he and Blake both backing Bellamy in his non selection of Colwill saying he's way behind players in his position dismissing how well he's performing so far this season as backing other players who aren't regulars in their clubs ,and that Colwwil is only playing in League one.

It always baffles me why in the international windows that we dont have a number of youngsters who are the future of wales drafted in to train alongside the main squad to get experience of what it would be like if they finally make the squad.
the colwill brothers are the perfect example at the moment.

Ratcliffe has always struggled to praise us, so I wouldn't worry.

There's an extra page for the word Negative in the OED and it's just a photo of Ratcliffe.

Great idea but aren't they the exact ones we need for our U21s? Or do you think the method above would be better for their development?

And I thought they did do that with Rubin at one tournament. World Cup?

:nope: Someone like him is getting paid to come up with gems like that?!
We might imagine a person of his age and experience has taken some notice of how football works and stopped to think about it before making a frankly imbecilic statement like that.
'Walking the league' after relegation invariably *doesn't* happen.
I didn't hear the piece, but if he truly said that and meant it, he should know different before stealing a wage for blurting it out.

Spot on, look at Ipswich, Leeds among others, took them a few years to get back to the Championship. Going down isn't an automatic right to get promoted again straight away in the league below...complete ignorance and lazy punditry to think so.

Kevin Ratcliffe was a great player but a god awful pundit.

Colwill would be in my Wales starting 11 .
How the likes of Sheahan Crewe and Andrews could be considered more of an asset than Rubin is laughable.
We need a keeper as well now and if Turner is Welsh qualified I would take him.
