Football Salech

I think Isaak Davies has disappointed so far. I'm not sure what his best position is in BBM's system. An impact sub at best.
I think that is what suits him best. His pace can cause a real surprise as sub but not sure he has enough in his locker to start regularly

We're forcing him out wide when what he needs imo is to play off Salech.

The other problem is teams drop deep against us - there's nowhere for him to use his pace at this level. In the Championship, higher defensive lines would benefit his game more.

I like the lad but I don't think he's good enough to start off Salech. He has scored some good goals this season but don't think he'd score them past good Championship teams

We're not using him in his best position though, we're shunting him out wide.

To his credit, he's putting a shift in, but I think you pair him with Salech, playing on shoulder of last defender will get him goals

Problem is twofold - teams defending deep nullifies his pace as no space to run into and BBM doesn't want to play two strikers..

He may not be in his best position but he's not going to get ahead of Robinson, Colwill or Kellyman as a number 10 or play as a second striker unless he significantly improves. Like you say his best attribute is largely negated at this level.

As TDA said I think he is likely to remain an impact player unless he can kick on. That's not necessarily a bad thing as one of the best things about the City this season is having genuine threats on the bench

So many of our players are showing themselves to be much better footballers playing in a system that suits them, with others that compliment them around them. I would add Turnbull to the list and Willock is finally able to showcase good old fashioned wing play.
Whoda thunk it

Need him back....only time we missed him was Saturday..Man's a Bulldozer...we actually look better away without him but at home there is no substitute.

5 substitutes allowed

BBM just said in his presser that Salech has seen his specialist again and has suffered a setback but didn’t elaborate or say how long it’s going to be :shrug2:

I'm starting to doubt whether we'll see him again this season. Completely accept they have to protect his welfare but looking like a poor choice not to pursue another striker in the transfer window

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but initial reports seemed to suggest that the injury wasn't too bad.

He said nothing of the sort. He said he’d had good news from his specialist and was training, hopefully back after the international break.
