Etete was announced as "our new number 9" but for one reason or another hasn't lived up to it. I can understand his colleagues supporting him and not wanting to grab his number as soon as it became available.

Etete was announced as "our new number 9" but for one reason or another hasn't lived up to it. I can understand his colleagues supporting him and not wanting to grab his number as soon as it became available.

I can see this but I also think it's more likely that these numbers were organised before Etete was loaned to Rovrum even if they've been announced today.

He made 1 solitary appearance for us last season before being shipped out on loan where he didn’t get to wear the Bolton shirt much either. I can see how it would weigh heavy on the conscience of his colleagues. A tough act to follow.
