Football Summer Transfer Window

There is plenty of scope to add to the squad, as we must have had one of the smallest in L1. With a number of the younger home grown players as well not counting towards the total, there will be an opportunity to add quality. I reckon we will see more loans than purchases.

Season hasn't even finished yet but I'm hearing that all our summer business has been concluded already. Obviously dots and crosses can't be sorted till June bit I've been assured he's not a goalkeeper and will greatly improve our final third play. VT has assured BBM that even if players leave us in the window, this deal is all but done and dusted and the only thing that could ruin the deal is if the player in question says no, but we will be approaching him soon.

With what we have at our disposal, that’s probably the way to go. Two or three decent signings would make us a lot stronger

I'd prefer another less is more approach, quality over quantity
We have good young core of players who are established in our first team squad and plenty more knocking on the door - something I have not seen in all my years of supporting City. If BBM can add a bit of quality and build around this it would be fantastic

Nathan Trott has had massive success at Cardiff City, with whom he was promoted to the Championship on Saturday.

The English keeper has been loaned from FC Copenhagen to the promoted club in an agreement in which Cardiff City has been given a purchase option, and it was with precisely that condition – that a return ticket had to be secured – that was needed to realize a deal.

According to Tipsbladet's information, Cardiff City has also initiated a process to secure the successful goalkeeper via the purchase option, which is 1.8 million euros, which is 13.5 million kroner, but it is not at all certain that a deal will come to fruition.

Tipsbladet can thus reveal that the goalkeeper has so far rejected their offer and is looking at other options than Cardiff City to look at his options, which are many.

At the same time, he is open to a return to FC Copenhagen, after a completely new sporting management has been established with the farewell to Sune Smith-Nielsen and Jacob Neestrup.

At FC Copenhagen, last summer's signing and first-choice goalkeeper Dominik Kotarski has not exactly had the best possible first year, and this raises the question of whether the club should have a new goalkeeper after a season outside the top six.

After two good seasons at Vejle Boldklub, Nathan Trott was bought by FC Copenhagen from West Ham in the summer of 2024 for 11 million kroner, but the first season did not go as hoped, and this summer he therefore moved on a loan deal to Cardiff City.

Here he has been a reliable profile in the cage, and the team was already able to celebrate promotion to the Championship this weekend – with three rounds left.

But the scenes of celebration over securing Nathan Trott going forward are yet to come at the Welsh club.

Maybe he will end up in Copenhagen, where the contract runs until the summer of 2028.
