TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY

HOME OFF-TOPIC FUN BETS
Fair point. I was thinking of more like all of the major countries who have all started already like England,France,Spain,Portugal,Germany,Italy and so on.
Actually major league soccer has been having serious discussions on getting their season in line with the previously mentioned leagues for better coordination of international windows and transfer windows. But I can’t see how they would do it with a good portion of the teams in very cold winter cities. You can’t be playing soccer outdoors when the wind chill is below zero.
Woe...Football it's football.:nope:

Why? Pussies!

Isn't the trade deadline in the NFL about week 8?
The trading deadline in the nfl is week 8 yes. But that’s a trade, where you have to swap players or give up draft picks. Plus it has to be approved by the NFL to actually go through.
Free agency which is basically what the European transfer window is closes before the season starts, I believe it closes before pre season even starts.
I was genuinely curious about the whys of the European transfer window which I love about soccer. Any player is available if the team accepts a bid no matter if they have a contract, and you don’t have to give up a current player or players to get your target, makes it extremely interesting and frustrating if it’s your team that gets raided by Chelsea. Lol

No I didn’t but I do know the USA men’s national team were highly criticized for scheduling a World Cup qualifier that was played in Minneapolis in January and the air temp was single digits Fahrenheit and below zero wind chill. So they’re still shell shocked by all that backslash I’m sure. Lol
My hope is they can move the MLS season to that most of Europe is. Start around august and end in April.

Playing Mickey mouse tropical countries in those countries legal but ropey. Your qualifying area is so bad you don't need ridiculous gamesmanship

I’m glad the 2 new recruits got signed and they have 2 weeks to train with the team before the next match.
Did Cardiff announce a make up date for this weekends postponed match?

On the surface I’d agree but watching these matches for decades I can tell you their pitches are worse than high school pitches, games are played in sweltering heat and humidity not to mention the insane officiating that is concacaf. Plus fans throwing stuff at players during corners. Plenty of USA players have been bloodied by thrown coins and batteries and bottles. Plus occasionally playing in a monsoon.
Tony Meola is on Sirius XM and he and Dunseth talk about what the fans do at away games and what the Central American players do and get away with during matches.
