Dalman is always referred to as MD in Trust reports. What you see must be a typo.

Potentially controversial question, but have you ever considered rebranding this place to avoid confusion with the almost identically named Cardiff City Forum that likes trying to undermine the club? Especially considering the traffic you're generating on Facebook, which will be much more visible than what goes on here.

In all seriousness, I didn't start the forum in order to get anything from the club but for the last 8 years the only time we've been mentioned is indirectly and it's always either the manager or senior staff slagging us off. I've never once had any contact from the club and any mention has been publicly negative towards us.

You might say they're talking about AAMB but the mentions are always about "the messageboards" or "forums" plural. This forum gets more engagement than any of them and that's not even mentioning our Facebook group of 17,000 members which takes more moderating than this one.

And now apparently the trust, who I've always tried to be positive and supportive of, is outwardly telling the chairman of the club to not look at the forums because we "do not reflect the majority of the wider fan base", as if everyone on here has the same opinion on everything.

The community is made up of fans of Cardiff City and I'm getting pretty fucking tired of us being looked down upon as some sort of nuisance that just needs to be ignored.

Frustrating as it is, I don't think the vast majority of people browsing get any further than AAMB. As you know, that was my experience yet again in engaging the Lincoln forum, where after further discussion they identified AAMB as a proper football discussion platform and this place as a meeting venue for piss heads and attention seekers.

It is what it is, but I don't think that MD's comments could possibly be construed as including our forum as I don't think he would get very far down our front page.

While those forums pretty much exclusively feature football chat over off-topic stuff/comps/quizzes etc we still have more engagement on football topics than they do even though they both get many times more views than we do here.

Sure, the other two forums are basically football topics only, but what's the point if nobody is posting in them? They're dry as fuck. I just looked at the CCMB and one of their topics today is about how dead their forum is.

In a thread where I've expressed frustration on of us being looked down upon by the club and the trust it's a just another kick in the bollocks when the Gamesmaster of this forum joins in the pile-on.

Hi Guvnor. I was going to put these up. But you have done so already. Those present are listed and yes i am one of them and was involved with the draft of the letter before going around board members. Mark Denham club media was also there.. There were two very young fans there which i never had the names of. Looked very much U18.

Well I doubt the club or trust or anyone that hears criticism of "the forums" is going to differentiate.

Criticism of the forums is criticism of the fans. Makes me wonder why I bother if that's everyone's attitude.

You know what I think about the direction of this board but respect what you feel is the most appropriate way forward. Ultimately it's your board in exactly the same way that Cardiff City is Vincent Tan's. I am just reporting what I have found and saying that I don't think that this forum is being included in MD's comments, which is to its credit.

I think you should meet him in Beddau and knock some sense into him.

CCMB is the kind of place for dry tossers with their cliques, who fap furiously over When Saturday Comes, bourgeois tossers who whine about the forum being dead when they've driven any interesting posters out with Sugarman's endless sarcasm.

AAMB is for the Biffo, Smudger and Toffo hoolies, with endless young impressionable acolytes whi fink dey is Soul Crew now... thick as mince (if that mince has been prepared, cooked, digested then excreted). Oh and FUCK TAN. He sank the Titanic.

Here is salt of the earth posters, some arseholes, sure, decent football conversations and all the other stuff - quizzes etc, bringing a modern experience. Way more engaging than the other two.

Then the club, Trust,whoever need to be explicit in naming forums in any discussions rather than letting this place be implicitly tarred as being the same as other shit sites.
