The club in particular need to start taking a closer look at this.

A certain board in particular is routinely hosting defamatory material, against club, Tan and staff such as Wayne Nash. The lack of action has allowed it to fester.

Define "highest profile". What are the metrics? History? CCMB has been going the longest, but it's a joke with around 5 active posters or so. The hoolie board? Not sure that's the kind of profile most would want.

If people want to push the mantra "Cardiff City forums/message boards are toxic", then name them explicitly because otherwise you're damning all with the same reputation.

I'd say of the three "main" forums, this is the one generally most supportive without the toxicity of others - excluding Negative Norris.

Kernel has to his credit built up a good community here (for the most part). Why should his efforts get shit on due to the clumsy scattergun approach?

On the rare occasion I speak to City fans who would be potentially good contributors they seem aware of the shit forums but not this one. Because Annis' forum is so toxic to people with a brain the similar name often causes confusion or puts people off

This is my experience too. This is by some distance the best city forum but unfortunately appears to be the least known about. I’ve said it several times on here, a tie in with one of the prominent podcasts, particularly the excellent VFTN would really help to raise its profile amongst fans.

In all seriousness, I didn't start the forum in order to get anything from the club but for the last 8 years the only time we've been mentioned is indirectly and it's always either the manager or senior staff slagging us off. I've never once had any contact from the club and any mention has been publicly negative towards us.

You might say they're talking about AAMB but the mentions are always about "the messageboards" or "forums" plural. This forum gets more engagement than any of them and that's not even mentioning our Facebook group of 17,000 members which takes more moderating than this one.

And now apparently the trust, who I've always tried to be positive and supportive of, is outwardly telling the chairman of the club to not look at the forums because we "do not reflect the majority of the wider fan base", as if everyone on here has the same opinion on everything.

The community is made up of fans of Cardiff City and I'm getting pretty fucking tired of us being looked down upon as some sort of nuisance that just needs to be ignored.

Happy to assist moderating if required.

On the other points there's only so much we can do - as owner you've (thankfully) not positioned yourself in any way as some sort of fAnS lEaDeR as others have done but that does come with the side effect of being relatively unknown to the club when our dEaR lEaDeR has met both Dalman and Ran multiple times when they first came in and as such more than likely have more attention from the higher ups than we do by virtue of being less... problematic. If I was on the board and I wanted an example of the fans opinion, I'd go to the person (or forum) who's self nominated as a spokesperson for the fans, especially if they're high profile in organising things like protest marches.

I think it's a shitty comment to make from the trust, but I can understand it if the people making the comments are mostly familiar with Annis and his cult. I wouldn't close the forum down for it though.

Maybe we should organise a fans forum and find something to protest about. I reckon we should do a protest march against the last protest march. That should do it.

But why would MD refer to Tan?? Has he got a forum too?

Anyhow, nice to see the Trust sitting down with MD & KC and getting nowhere again, and that’s not a dig SJB, personally I think the board direct the meeting how they want them to go instead of how they should go and that needs changing.

As for the board issues, if CCMB are putting posts up about how dead they are then that board seems to have come to a natural end. As you’re all aware I’m on here and AAMB, yes that board is great for the football updates etc but it’s a serious board where as this one is light hearted, we can call each other cunts without getting offended and we can all take the piss out of Melv for not knowing the answers to his own questions

If MD doesn’t like reading the content then maybe, just maybe, try taking on board what’s being said and address things, a lot of posters do make actual sense and are not all anti tan/board. For instance there’s one post gone up explaining why Tan should jus cut his losses over Sala without being derogatory
