Tough on Merthyr I wonder if we are sending another young player up there instead.
On left, it's a case of cut in, get shot off. On right, he's not got the ability to get outside and put a telling cross in. We're simply using players like Davies as inside forwards and hoping they can give the width, whereas we look more dangerous when FBs get forward.
I think davies will be gone, given the style we play. He can't play the Salech / Robinson roles; as a striker, needs ball into the channels to run onto, and we're not going to see that unless opposition play with a high defensive line - which would be suicide at this level for opposition teams.

At the moment he's part of a rotation, but with Tanner returning, maybe Bianchieri coming on loan, cut remain a bit part player.
I'd have been interested in seeing him playing off Salech as a pair.
Bagan has played a hell of a lot of games due to a lack of rotation there. I don't see Spiers being part of that when Ng, Kpakio can cover LB, Giles at a pinch, with Fish and Kingdon also capable of covering RB.

He has though shown an eye for goal this season which I don't think many of us expected. 3 goals and an assist in 21 games (virtually all off the bench) isn't bad going.

It's what he did in Belgium. He's a good finisher, but as I said, he's limited in our formation and style. He's not going to run the FBs, drag them wide. He's limited to that left inside forward spot, defenders will realise he's got to cut in every time.
