They shocked him looked like to me. Compressions first then shock.

I just saw they did compressions, so definitely cardiac arrest.
The fact that he was sitting up and conscious is an excellent sign and defibrillation obviously worked but will likely need some cardiac surgery depending on cause.
Very unlikely he’ll ever play football again though.

I wasn’t going to post this but now the news looks positive, it was horrible to watch.
One minute he was jogging towards the throw in, seemed to stumble/stagger then drop to the ground, eyes open,
He looked like a boxer who was “out” before he hit the floor and it really didn’t look good.
Obviously I’m no expert but when you see someone being worked on for such a long time, you don’t expect a positive outcome.
Incredible professionalism and skill from the medical staff who helped him.
