When the Tories bring up the concern over fair pay for the public sector fuelling inflation, I never hear anything from them about the Billions lost / stolen / defrauded during their countless Covid scandals?
Nor the Truss and Kamikaze budget which was so damaging to the UK economy, the Bank Of England had to take emergency action to stop the whole thing going under.
Wouldn't mind hearing the views of JointyHead and Muggles on the above if possible.

Once people start asking for wage rises, suddenly it was wage rises that were causing inflation.

Pill's comments were dumb, coming from someone on the money he's on, utterly tone deaf - and Bailey's salary is close to 600k a year including pension contributions. Part of the issue, not all but part, around inflation was BoE keeping interest rates artificially low for too long.
