Haven't missed a home game since December 2017, average at least 10 aways a season. Tomorrow will end my 6 straight games run.
That is a great effort. I love the City but must have missed at least 30 games in that time. Good on ya:thumbup:

Hard, but great topic! Up until 2017, hadn't missed probably 10 games at home, in 15+ years, then my partner in crime, my father, passed away with dementia, so suddenly there was this empty seat at games, and the trip home changed too, because even though I had a carer at the time of his passing, it was always with him for games, as some carers are simply there for a wage, and not many support cardiff city!!
Since my rta, and suffering quite serious life altering damage, things did change dramatically re attendance was no longer a given, so in 2013, I stopped buying a season ticket, as dad had early onset then, so dynamics changed quite dramatically & suddenly, life took over, during recovery, and dad's diagnosis, and football took a back seat as such, and even though dad & myself still attended, his mental state was slowly deteriorating, so more games slipped by the way side, I now attend as often as possible, with my great niece, who is nearly 11, and has the bug already, another great niece who is 17 this year, plays for the ladies u 19's so th city connection has still got a hold in this family!! I have two brothers, one hates sport( unless it's fishing!) The other tosser, " supports" Liverpool :puke:
"I'm cardiff, born, I'm cardiff bred,& when I dies, I'll be cardiff dead!" :ccfclogos::bluebird::ccfclogos:

Sorry to hear about your old man and hope you are well too

At the same time, I blame our dad's for everything with the City, it's like they've suffered enough and it's time for the little spunk bubble to suffer the same as well

Wouldn't have it any other way mind

I think my record was under Russell Slade and we were 3-0 down on 35 minutes and in a pub in town by half time.
I think I was at that game, but stuck it out until half time. Only time I’ve ever left a game early

I agree . We have the same problem. My grandson kicks off at 9.15am but it's still one hell of a rush.
The televised games are killing the live attendances and as you say people will get out of the habit.
Tuesdays crowd was poor and a sign of things to come.people will stay at home in the warm rather than making the effort to go to the game. Sad really.
This. My boy plays, with kick off usually at 10.30.

The coach usually lets me take him just before the end of the game, but then it’s a mad dash from wherever (usually llanrumbo) into canton, with him changing in the car while I drive. And even then we typically miss the first 10 mins . It’s a real effort for us, but we do it because he wants to go. If we lived and he played in any of the leagues just outside Cardiff, we wouldn’t be able to manage it.

Clubs should insist on a limit of these 12:30 kick offs, because I agree- they will kill off thr next generation and lifeblood.

l come from 4 generations of City fans going back to 1948.but my grandson has no interest in football or sport in general,my son would rather watch Merthyr or park football, and I couldn't be bothered to travel down there on my own.Dosent stop me stressing every time we play mind:hehe:

I could be wrong but I thought there was a bus going down from the valleys.
If not the club should run one.

back in the day Cyril Evans ran 2 buses from Senghenydd, but I guess the car is king know

First game for me with my Dad was Millwall 1976 at 6 years of age, passed the baton on to R jnr now, a season ticket holder of 3 years. Dad is now unwelcome as he goes with his mate and the train station is basically next to our house. :hehe:
