I don't know if it was an actual policy but most buildings in the centre used to be 5 or 6 floors at the most. There were some exceptions. Now there seems to be no limit.

Mentioned before that I worked for a few weeks on the building site of Brunel House in the early 70's. It wasn't the tallest as the Pearl Building was built a few years earlier.Ps if you’re talking about Cardiff, then that must've been jettisoned yonks ago as Brunel House is at least as old as @TDA (joking but technically true!) and that must have about 15 - 20 floors??

I now have three demijohns full of cloudy apple juice, foam and sediment.
It might look manky but this is just after I'd stirred the campden tablets in, which stop bacteria growing. It will clear up a bit over the next 24 hours, actually they already look better now: these pics were taken at lunchtime.
I saved a few dozen apples for eating so what you see above is the rest of the two boxes full. Using the juicer was properly laborious. About 10 apples made maybe half a litre of apple juice. The juicing bit takes seconds, but it then produces loads of pulp, which needs emptying out of the machine before you can do the next lot. So half a litre ends up taking 10 minutes or so by the time you've fannied about emptying the apple pulp into a bowl and then periodically taking the bowl and emptying it into the compost etc etc.
Using an apple press would probably have been easier, but what the fuck am I going to do with an apple press for the other 51 weeks of the year? At least the juicer will get used for all manner of healthy natural juices or sit in the utility room cupboard with the potential to.
Next step will be putting the yeast in.
I actually used ChatGPT a lot for advice with all this and it was much more useful than trying to google and watching Youtube vids and that.

I used one of the Boots kits, Continental Lager it was called, it wasn’t too bad eitherMade my own beer for years. I think I started with a Boots kit, but used live liquid yeast not the dried stuff. Perpetuated the yeast from batch to batch with the sediment at the bottom of the bottles.
It wasn't half bad and dead easy to do.
