For a while after giving up on CCMB I'd have probably gone back there, although not straight away as I'd had a gutsful. On the odd occasion I've had a look on there since it's convinced me never to go back. The design is very jarring after using this one and the sand old people are having the same old arguments.

BTW if this is an indication that you're becoming frustrated with the board, I think you should be more ruthless in handing out permanent bans. There are only a couple of posters who act like cocks almost all of the time. IMO you are far too tolerant.

........ and God made Man in his own image, which, in this case is a forum created by an irreverent stand up comedian.

It has become more of a social gathering where anything goes rather than a dedicated football discussion medium. That is fine if that is what the members want. A lot of hard work goes in by a number of people and the result is something quite unique in the world of messageboards.

It has something for everybody who are prepared to scratch the surface, be they those who are only here in the hope of winning £100 on one of the comps or those for whom this place has become an emotional crutch and an escape from the general crap that real life throws up.

I had already made the decision to have a little break from here after the final round of GTA next week. I had intended to look back in once the transfer window was underway and if the forum is still here, I'll continue to contribute, but otherwise real life has plenty lined up for me.

................. and no, I'm not interested in getting involved with the other boards mentioned.
