I used to drink here regularly in the early 1980s. A good pub. There was a sort of night club/late closing place across the road called the Dog and Duck.

Great find mate

Got banned from there ahead of a Wales game just before it closed. It was a right mess by then - pungent and a proper feet sticking to the floor job. It was loud as hell but the music cut out as I was telling my mates it must be the stinkiest pub in Wales. The barman said "well you won't want a pint here then, so fuck off!". Had no answer to that so had to go next door
