Agree, he's not bad but his real test comes next season but so far so good .DJ's football was class and BBM's is the best we have had since.

I loved our style of play under Jones and I've been crying out for some aspects of that like the way he utilised wingers but the frustration was that the conditioning was never there and you knew that we'd be top by November but then collapse every single year.On a serious note at times this season it's been very frustrating but i find our style of football like that anyway . As frustrating as Jones was i much prefered our style of play under him

We going uo again next year...ima put a tenner on the nose on it now
We need some really significant investment IMO.We will need three or four players no doubt.Another striker is a priority but these boys have been blooded against some big nasty players and piss poor refs and have done well who didn't protect them.
They will be better for the experience.
I would be surprised if Murphy hasn't got a shopping list.
Please back him Vincent.
We need some really significant investment IMO.
On the presumption that we retain all players on expiring contracts (Bagan, Ng and Wintle) I have us down as needing:
- Goalkeeper (can be Trott): to get back to 3 in the squad
- Right Back: Ng will be 30 and Kpakio has shown he isn't a fullback and probably needs to go out on loan as he will get demolished by Championship wingers
- Left Back: A Scanlon replacement.
Defensive Midfielder (Can be King): Wintle has nearly played the most minutes this season of the squad and we don't really have a similar replacement for him. J. Colwill is better up the pitch and Robertson doesn't have the temperament to be relied on as a tackling midfielder. Also probably better as an 8, the same as Turnbull.
Attacking Midfielder: We need a replacement for Kellyman as a creative spark that can be used as a backup for Rubin if he ever gets injured again.
Right Winger: Tanner has been strong but we don't have the squad strength to rest him when needed.
Striker (can be Simic): we need someone in the mold of Salech that we can rely on given that Robbo's legs appear to have gone.
The only places I think we're truly strong at in this squad are at centre half with Daland coming back, at 8 with Robertson/Turnbull and at left wing where we've got Davies/Willock/Ashford, all of whom have their own strengths, be it speed/trickery/defensive cover.
I do think we need significant investment if the board/owner have top half ambitions.
This is the most critical thing clubs look for more than tactical fit when loaning out a player IMO.Not sure big investment is going to happen or even on the radar tbh, we will invest but I think we're such an attractive club now to lend players too we'll have some really good offers. BBM is actually improving players values
Good points. We need some really significant investment IMO.

30 for Ng was more a sign of the club needs a succession plan in place for him in the event he does decline - but I think with the chance of him not re-signing this could probably be extended to two right backs needed.Good points.
NG 30 is nothing
King hope he comes good but a lot to prove.
I definitely agree about Kpakio
The squad is young and most have deserved their chances next year.
Its what Tan is going to do is the question he must have made plans for us being promoted. Will he twist or stick.
Personally if he continues to invest and has the fight in him to go for it I would be happy if he stayed.
It's the just doing enough to survive and bumping along that gets me.
Did his ACL in training before our first Vertu Cup game of the season and that was him done. He was primed to be a backup to Wintle this season and would've lessened his minutes load by some margin.

Ah, had it in my head we'd loaned him out somewhereDid his ACL in training before our first Vertu Cup game of the season and that was him done. He was primed to be a backup to Wintle this season and would've lessened his minutes load by some margin.
We let him go to Stevenage on loan last year and he got a niggly injury in the first month or so but was playing well. They then brought Harvey White into the first team (ex-Spurs prospect) and he couldn't displace him.
A shame - but then again I think Bulut and Riza would've ruined him like they did everyone else.
I liked King so.lets hope he gets over the injury.30 for Ng was more a sign of the club needs a succession plan in place for him in the event he does decline - but I think with the chance of him not re-signing this could probably be extended to two right backs needed.
I've always been a massive fan of King in the academy, but through some poor loan choices and a very unluckily timed ACL this summer after he was poised to be the backup to Wintle all season has stopped his development flat. Kids got an absolute fuck ton of potential though, although I think he's now been surpassed by other prospects in centre midfield like Joel Colwill and Mafico.
This side has the strength to do very well in the Championship next year, and not to get too excited but with some strong recruitment we could be in the group of sides just outside the playoffs. However, if Tan decides £30m for Lawlor and £15m apiece for Joel Colwill and Kpakio are too enticing to turn down to finally get some money back out of the club we could very easily circle the drain.
Luckily I think BBM has the nous to know what he wants tactically and who he wants - and the willingness to say no (and goodwill after this year) to the board/committee/Tan.
It all depends on what Tan's sticking power is like.

Everyone is a selling club bar Madrid, Barca and a few Oil clubs. As long as we play our position well with Lawlor and others I can accept it. We do seem better in that regard recently. The way we were screwed over for Ramsey with the big clubs acting like a cartel pissed me off.I liked King so.lets hope he gets over the injury.
If the price is right for Lawlor he will go. Unfortunately that's the way of the world.
Going to an interest summer.
He did his ACL... BBM in an interview said he'd have been first team squad.
Turnbull for me has his role as a game manager - keeps things ticking over nicely when Robertson's been taken off because his next foul would invite a second yellow. He did his ACL... BBM in an interview said he'd have been first team squad.
Primarily a DM but when loaned before played DM, CM even AM on occasion.
As said, probably backup to Wintle, but with Mafico also returning then then means two young DMs around. Probably another loan for Mafico - but with King back, we probably need to offload a midfielder and that would prob be Turnbull.
Yes I remember that but the owners then were not so Rich as Tan who will drive a hard dealEveryone is a selling club bar Madrid, Barca and a few Oil clubs. Was about to make a similar point. As he’s said himself he’s still learning, this being only his second managerial position. I get the feeling that he will just get better, the reason being is that I think he comes across as intelligent, a thinker, is always considered in his responses to questions, doesn’t go over the top when we’re doing well, doesn’t shit the bed when things aren’t going so well, and he seems to be a very good man manager. He will have learned from his first job at Rochdale and I’m sure he will have learned a lot from this season too. I like him a lot and I’m really looking forward to seeing how he tackles the challenge of managing at the next level.Difficult to define at the moment as he's only just coming to the end of his first season .But he's shown all the signs of becoming a favourite with the fans he's not the in your face type like Warnock or the somewhat dire personality Jones had, but what he's brought to us is a actual style we can be associated with unlike what can only be classed is a non descript style which has made us an unattractive watch. All things well he'll bring the same style to the Championship next term and how refreshing it's been to watch us dominate possession not just in home games but away to.and this with a blossoming young squad who've bought into BBM 's philosophy as the fans have to .BLUEBIRDS
