Some on here should at least appreciate this appointment. Maybe the board have got ears. I personally was dreading Morison coming back or even Sol taking over.Hats off to the board for a change, this is a pleasant surprise, hopefully he don't piss off after the first training session after seeing what he got to work with

Cardiff City are planning to hire Turkish manager Erol Bulut. Bulut, 48, is not well-known in the UK, but Cardiff believe he is a talented manager who could help them improve their results. They are looking to follow in the footsteps of other Championship and Premier League clubs who have hired successful managers from Europe.
Bulut has a good track record in Turkey. He has managed several clubs, including Galatasaray, Gaziantepspor, and Fenerbahce. He has won two Turkish Cups and one Turkish Super Cup. He is also known for his attacking style of play.
Cardiff are currently in 18th place in the Championship. They are hoping that Bulut can help them climb the table and avoid relegation. They are also hoping that he can help them build a team that can challenge for promotion in the future.
Bulut's appointment is a risky move for Cardiff. He is a relatively unknown manager, and he has never managed in the UK before. However, Cardiff believe that he is the right man to help them achieve their goals.

Oscar Garcia, a former Brighton and Watford manager who has won trophies abroad, is also believed to be on the shortlist. Two Welshmen, Nathan Jones and Cameron Toshack, are also believed to be contenders.
The Bluebirds are looking for a manager who can help them avoid relegation from the Championship. They are also looking for a manager who can build a team that can challenge for promotion in the future.
It is still unclear who will be appointed as the next manager of Cardiff City. However, the appointment of a foreign manager would be a major coup for the club.
It's a surprise, that one.
Despite what a certain website owner has claimed, he's never managed Galatasary, only top team he's managed has been Fenerbahce and that was for one season - would be interesting to know why they got rid of him.
Gaziantep fired him this season for starting with 19 points from 19 games albeit with what looks like an aging squad.
Maybe not an elite manager in the Trukish league, looks a decent manager but finishing high up behind Fenerbahce, Galatasary and Besiktas is like managing Aberdeen in the SPL I guess.
Let's hope he's more like Errol Flynn than Errol the Hamster...Looking fr info on the guy.
Found a reddit thread.
This bit (with the caveat it's a fans view) is a bit concerning.
"For Erol:
- He had a great squad but never used any of them properly. Using Pelkas as LW and so on;
- It was clear that he couldn't connect with players;
- We were winning games, thanks to Altay. If it was Harun, for instance, Hatayspor or teams like that would have humiliated us;
- He wasn't a dominant character like Fatih or Sergen and that's why he couldn't keep up with big players' egos;
- Last but not least, we didn't have any plan for most of our matches. That's why Caner was crossing too many times."
