I've heard stuff second hand about Warnock from a source I trust that chimes with the broader rumours about him taking bungs for appearances. Hearsay yes but had the ring of truth to me.Warnock at the time said (paraphrasing) "when making a deal with a player from the continent, you need to deal with agents like Mackay".
No admission of wrongdoing, more an acknowledgement of the reality that when dealing with transfers of players from other continents, especially South America, agents crawl out of the woodwork - and it's clear Mackay was someone clubs on the continent engaged.
Last public allegations against Warnock led to Puncheon apologising and playing a hefty fine, MP Damien Collins making the same claims in the House of Commons using parliamentary privilege but funnly enough didn't dare repeat them without that legal protection.
I'd suggest that these days if it came out it would be dealt with. Nobody came out to support Puncheon with his allegations, which beggars belief.I've heard stuff second hand about Warnock from a source I trust that chimes with the broader rumours about him taking bungs for appearances. I've no doubt Warnock and the vast majority of managers make money on the side when they can. A case of everyone is at it and a victimless crime kind of mentality. No matter how much money they make a bit of extra bunce seems too good to turn down e.g. Alladyce when England manager. [UWSL]Most managers seem to have links with agents that wouldn't get through a good governance process.[/UWSL]

But I could have told you, VincentIt would explain why Tan and the club would have gone after Nantes the way they have - I've little doubt some of these charges may well related to Sala given the light the club has shone on the dodgness.
If so, maybe some of those in the media and indeed our own fans who have castgatyted Tan over this might instead applaud him for doing so even if we lose the civil cases?
I am pretty sure Nantes were willing to reduce the fee/settle a while back. But insisted City drop all ongoing cases in French courts. City refused this. and I don't blame them for doing so. One tragic and messy affair.Nah, we'd have no case against FIFA.
Nantes though, that case will be interesting with these new developments and it really wouldn't surprise me if Nantes now attempt to settle out of court. If Tan then holds his nerves, a massive can of worms will be opened.
Bt dEy sHud giV dA mUny 2 tEh FamlYsWhere has this person learned that Sala's agent refused our flight? Or has he just added that little chinese whisper himself?
This is the same guy who posted the following in an earlier tweet: "Again, everyone research the full story before commenting you thick retards."
I admire the sentiment, but the responsibility to research stuff cuts both ways.
And don't get me started on the numerous people on Twitter who've been saying "but Nantes have been convicted of fraud" when all that's happened is people being taken into custody. They seem dodgy as fuck, for sure, but even the short City statement makes it clear that the police investigation is ongoing.

I'm sure there were allegations previously about Nantes illegally backdating documentsRe-reading the club statement, I think maybe I was underestimating the significance.
Look at the alleged offences - fraud, money laundering but most importantly, forgery. IF and as you can see it's a big if, documentation by Nates was forged with regards to the transfer then it's absolutely clear that Sala could never have been our player, irrespective of signing any contract with us, because the transfer could not legally have occurred given Nantes negotiated using deception with faked documents.
That blows the whole thing wide open.
