I think the only place that would tempt me out of the Canton is if they opened the upper tier of the Ninian again. The view up there was good enough to offset the lack of atmosphere. The season I had up there is the only time as a City fan I've felt I had a proper tactical appreciation of our games. Where I am now you get the emotion but it's not easy to see big picture stuff or how high up the pitch people are playing or where they are on relation to each other etc

Season ticket holder but can't necessarily do midweek games as I work away at times

Canton End but had a taste of the high life in the prawn sandwich a couple of times so might go there next season as I've quelled telling opposition players to fuck off
Never seen you there. You’re always off shopping with your missus or some other excuse. Worse fan than Nuggles and Nozzle.

because Cardiff Buses GASH timetables
TfW no better. They’ve scrapped the 10pm train to Gloucester, so now either have to leave the match 20 mins early, or get the 11.40 train, that doesn’t get back until almost 1am. Not great on a school night.

I've had the same seat since the CCS opened so this is the 16th season of sitting in the same seat.

I sat with a friend in a different section of the ground a few weeks ago and I didn't like it, everything sounded different. And we lost so I won't be doing that again.
Friend:hehe:

Who you kidding

I go every game, but I do look forward to being ill so I miss one or two season.

Going to lick some shop door handles now :hehe:

That would be too high up for me. I don't see like heights.

Used to hardly miss a game, then just Saturday games.

These days circumstances mean that I can’t get down there very often but still try to get a game when I can. Easier not to go when we’re shit but given the choice I’d go every week.

Agree about the early kick offs though. Last couple of seasons my eldest and grandkid number one would be down there most games. Early kick offs make it impossible due to junior football so this season they’ve only been down to 3pm Saturday games - think they’ve missed about half the Saturday fixtures as a result. Unfortunately that has a knock on effect because once people stop going regularly then they find other stuff to do with their time and money.

I agree . We have the same problem. My grandson kicks off at 9.15am but it's still one hell of a rush.
The televised games are killing the live attendances and as you say people will get out of the habit.
Tuesdays crowd was poor and a sign of things to come.people will stay at home in the warm rather than making the effort to go to the game. Sad really.

It's got to the stage where I'd no longer be bothered if the prohibition on broadcasting 3pm games is removed. It's probably what Sky want and are secretly trying to make happen but we're getting shafted anyhow and with it being 12:30 we almost definitely lose more match attending fans than we would at 3.

Sky can go fuck themselves - make things as awkward as they can for match going fans but cone up with empty platitudes about how amazing they are and banging on about atmospheres.

10 Saturday home games so far this season

6 have been 12.30 kick offs

Joke

Clubs are seriously shooting themselves in the foot with this.

I get that the Sky money is sweetening the deal but they’re literally making it harder for people to go - in particular younger fans who will be the lifeblood of the fan base in years to come.

My grandson has been going down for 10 years. This season he’s missed a fair few and now he’s got to the stage where he’s found other stuff to do on a Saturday afternoon. I’m sure he’s not the only one either.

I can well imagine. They ought to be careful.
I would like to see away games screened down the stadium.
It would increase revenue and would beat Radio Wales pro jack commentators.
