Football POST MATCH FANS REACTION - BURNLEY

HOME FUN BETS LOTTERY
We would be mid table, nowhere near play offs.
How do you know you don't even go down there9.
The number of points we have dropped by an odd goal or drawing we would be right up there.
Instead we had to put up with Kanga or makeshift strikers
It's makes a huge difference to have a player like Salech to aim at.

Why oh why didn't we bring my boy on last night,MOM v Villa in a lot of people's eyes yet not to be seen...Riza needs to take a long hard look at himself

Have to agree with that. When Colwill finally came on it took him a while to get into the game and by then it was all but too late. Poor initial team selection. We could have won that game.

Not much Riza could've done to get a better performance than last night.

A lot of young players involved again and if we can address some problem positions over the summer, we can really look forward to next season.

Finally, we are sorted up front with Salech, it'll be sprinklings of quality here and there that will really push us on.

We look a bit like Sunderland of the 23/24 season. They finished 16th by the way. Which hopefully we will end up within a place or two of.

Easy for you to

That is difficult to understand. I think he probably wanted to keep it tight first half but that
didn't work out so on he came for the second half
Perhaps it was a fitness thing those GPS things they wear give a lot of info.
I can't get my head around how Rhino was so exposed time after time and the lack of help he was getting particularly from Robertson

.

I.tend to agree that Colwill should have started but it easy to say after as we all know.

Why does he not play players in form? Frustrating. Will Fish was a banker last night along with Colwill. Rino needs a rest too.

Lot of admiration for Salech from the Burnley forum. Early days but he's really getting himself noticed, just hope we can keep him for another season at least.

The one thing we've been missing for literally a decade is a player like Salech. It makes me nervous when clubs start taking notice like this.

Yes he needs to stop scoring for a while

Double edged sword.

We all want a striker who bangs in goals but as soon as they’re consistent, the vultures start circling. He’s on a decent length contract, hopefully price will put off potential buyers.

If he keeps up this trajectory I think we'll keep him at all costs next season but after that he'll probably be gone, probably to a Premier team for some serious money. Being practical I'd reluctantly accept that's the way it has to be atm.

Unfortunately for Colwill he came on when we were chasing the game and everyone expects something special everytime he was on the ball.
Hindsight is great and it's easy to criticise Riza selection but in fairness he is not afraid of making changes. He needs to use the players wisely re games played and the tactics he deems correct for each game.
We have had too.many managers who rely on the same players week in week out.

Money rules if the price is right it's business.
If we can afford to keep him up his wages to make sure we do

He's on a four year contract, so a £20m price tag wouldn't be unrealistic.

Keep up what he's doing and follow that up next season with us in the Championship and I think he'd be worth nearer double that tbh. He seems to have the right attitude and confidence to play at a much higher level, a bit like Mitrovic turned out.

I agree but I bet someone will try it on for 5 or 6 mil.i.hope we show ambition and keep him or get top dollar.
In fairness Riza earmarked him so he has good judgement.
Plus his other two signings look very good.
I don't think Riza has had the recognition for it .
